    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Thanks Nick! Clarifies things greatly and yes tolerances can be a PITA. You mentioned modifications to the design of the units. I’m guessing that the modification to the future units will be what you advised people who are having trouble to do and that the hook on the intercooler will be...

    Mishimoto Intercooler Install Issues/Observations

Thanks Nick. Look forward to hearing what the engineering team has to say and what the resolution to this will be.

    Mishimoto Intercooler Install Issues/Observations

So it looks like Ford didn’t change the part and sounds like a measurement issue on Mishimoto’s part when making the casting for that driver’s side mount. Something to look forward to when I get around to installing mine.

    Nick (@Mishimoto) - Any comments/thoughts?

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Looks nice. How difficult was the install?

    Mishimoto Intercooler Install Issues/Observations

Well that isn’t good. Wondering if it would have been possible to file down the front portion of the plastic slot rather than break the casting to allow it to fit?

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Very nice. Should be a heck of an upgrade over even the RB ones. Look forward to hearing how you like them once they’re installed and you’ve had some driving time with them. Although I suspect I know what the answer is going to be since you don’t fly blind into these things.

Brakes look very nice. Sorry if his is a stupid question but how do the rear calipers deal with the E-Brake?

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

The brace looks interesting. I was hoping it would be something that took advantage of the existing bolt hole in the differential cover which could be accomplished by a similar milled part with bushing mounted inside the subframe instead of under it; such that the bolt could go directly into the...

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Agree that it would have been nice if they included them with the product but in my dealings with Mishimoto, they’ve never included installation instructions with their products and yes, it is a PITA to find them on the site. They could take a page from Steeda and put a link to the installation...

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

After getting similar quotes from my local Ford dealership shops, I went to an independent shop as was suggested earlier in the tread. Fortunately, I had a shop I’ve used in the past and they said they’ll install the Steeda springs, sway bar and toe links for just the labor rate and do the...

So did you go with a custom system from Rotora or one of their existing systems adding the drilled rotors?

While we’re waiting for delivery, here’s the installation instructions; https://cdn.mishimoto.com/media/productpdf/MMINT-EST-20_INSTALLATIONGUIDE.pdf Thanks to Mishimoto for detailed instructions (including torque specs) and providing push clips for 2021 and greater models to replace the...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

My dealer‘s shop said they don’t have specifics beyond the e-brake upgrade and the replacement of the bolt should it break. So I suspect we’ll see a lot of hypothesizing on the part of dealer shops on what will or won’t be done and what would be covered in a tuned vehicle should that happen...

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

I received my shipping notice as well. Of course I’m out of town for two weeks, so my wife is going to wonder what the heck I’ve ordered for the ST now. Oh well, glad to have it on its way even if I won’t be able to do anything with it for a little while. Look forward to seeing how...

Thanks! Great news as you never know how supply chain issues may affect things. Looking forward to its arrival.

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Nick - For those of us who placed orders when the IC was first available on the Mishimoto site, any idea on a shipping date? I know you’ve said approximately three weeks after the announcement earlier in this thread but was wondering if that target still holds.

    Real world mpg

Stock ST for the moment and if I leave it in Eco Mode around town, it gets ~20 MPG on 87 octane with 10% ethanol. Highway driving between KC and StL in Eco Mode at ~80 to 85 mph will net ~24 MPG on the same fuel. There is a slight bump up in MPG when moving up to 91 or higher octane fuel but...
