Until you break the bolt, then it is unclear if you just get a new stronger bolt for your “one time replacement“ along with fixing anything else that broke when the bolt let go or something else. It will be interesting to see what Ford does when it happens.

Looks like on the 2022 model, they just cast where the front towing eye attachment cover is on the front bumper but it is no longer a removable piece. The cover is no longer even cast into the rear bumper cover. Not sure if this is a change only in the 2022 model year or if it also occurred in...

I agree that if all Explorers that are involved in the CSP were to have the correct fix done, the costs are prohibitive but the CSP only deals with those Explorers which had a failure of the bolt. Given Ford’s numbers of Explorers having had the failure and what we’ve seen in the poll here...

Did the dealer offer up if it is just to replace the bolt and any other part(s) that are damaged as a result of the bolt breaking or did they offer any hope of something more substantial like a new subframe?

Any idea that you can share about the ETA for the presale launch? I know that you’ll post here but it might help myself and others who are considering purchasing it if you could say that something will happen in 30 days or 60 days, etc.
