Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Just for the heck of it, I called the phone number that they give in the letter to see what Ford was willing to say about the CSP portion but they have no additional information at this time. i’m going to say they actually do but don’t want to hear from a bunch of irate ST owners about the...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Well they did say for “your peace of mind”. If I broke the first bolt, my peace of mind would be with a new four bolt subframe. Because if I broke one, the chances are that even with an improved bolt, I’m going to break it again. Hoping I never have to take them up on their offer...

Did anyone else get the recall letter?

I did. Interesting phrasing about a “one time repair” of the rear axle bolts and housing within 10 years or 150,000 miles from the warranty start date for “your peace of mind”.

2022 Push to Start Button versus 2020 and 2021 Push to Start Button

Just a follow up to my original post. I went ahead and pulled the push to start button to take some picture and run it down to my Ford parts department to see what they could find out about it as Ford’s online parts store still shows the 2022 ST as taking Part # 100F/H1BZ10B776A and the part I...

SLD Steeda Lowering Springs and Sway Bar set

Interested in the whole set. Would you be willing to ship to 64068?

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

Thanks, hadn’t thought about that approach.

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

Wish I had your dealer. Seems beyond fair.

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

Yeah, was hoping that since they do upgrades like this normally, they wouldn’t be as pricey as they were. If it had been nearer to $750, I would have been happy.

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

Based on people’s comments, I’m considering putting Steeda springs and rear sway bar on my ST. However, I had sticker shock from the quote the Thoroughbred Ford gave for the install with an alignment ($1200). Dealer is known for doing performance upgrades on Mustangs and off road upgrades for...

Converting crossmember from 1 bolt to 2

Thanks for the detailed write up and pictures of the process. If anything, it has convinced me that I lack the tools, mechanical expertise and most of all the patience to accomplish this. Congratulations on your getting it done and if all Ford wants is $1300 labor to do the job minus the parts...

Explorer ST Adapt-X Tune (OEM Octane Learning and drivability)

Fair enough. Speaking of modifiers, does your tune also adjust the transmission shift settings?

    Ford Performance Tune

Kit also comes with a new bolt for the differential /s :ROFLMAO:

Explorer ST Adapt-X Tune (OEM Octane Learning and drivability)

Okay. Sorry for being dense since your earlier post talked about it not effecting the other modes with the horse power gains being found in Normal and Sport and was trying to figure out if there was a difference between the two modes. The short answer is ”no”.

    ST hitch/receiver cover wanted

Ditto. They look nice but I’ve got other things to purchase with that money. However, kudos to Unbroken and Storm Trooper Build for splurging. Gives me something to aspire to at some point.

Explorer ST Adapt-X Tune (OEM Octane Learning and drivability)

Understand and appreciate the response but in a nutshell (without giving the tune away) Sport starts out with the fast advance rate until knock occurs and then drops back to normal advance while Normal starts out at the normal advance rate using your tuning specs to find the optimal spark rate...

Explorer ST Adapt-X Tune (OEM Octane Learning and drivability)

So my guess is that any increase in fuel economy claimed by end users can be attributed in part to the tune, a change in driving habits and mostly moving to a higher octane level fuel than they were using. Not saying that the tune doesn’t help but that there are other factors playing a role in...

2022 Push to Start Button versus 2020 and 2021 Push to Start Button

Thanks! I’m feeling better that I hadn’t gotten a one off. I also feel kind of foolish for not thinking to look in the owner’s manual but thanks to @Dale5403 for noting the change in the manual between the 21 and 22. now back to trying to sort out if the pins are a straight match even though...

2022 Push to Start Button versus 2020 and 2021 Push to Start Button

I was reading through @PlatinumST’s build thread and noticed that they had mentioned that the push to start button on their 2022 Explorer still had the green led in it. So is my push to start button minus the led the normal for 2022 ST’s and the led version only found on other 2022 Explorer...

Explorer ST Adapt-X Tune (OEM Octane Learning and drivability)

Color me intrigued. Like RapidRedST, I’ll read through the linked thread and see what it says. Understand that there is a wealth of Fiesta ST and Focus ST data out there, just wish there was more Explorer ST feedback other than the two that are posted here but understand that this is new to...
