Mishimoto Wants your Input about Intakes!

Have to agree with what others have said, I’d be interested but the lead time from a potential product to an actual product makes me worry. There are just too many other options readily available. I bought the oil catch can that you make and it’s obvious from that product that Mishimoto makes a...

2022 Push to Start Button versus 2020 and 2021 Push to Start Button

In the 2022 model year Explorer, the push to start button dropped the green led that the earlier model years had. I know that a number of folks on this forum aren’t fans of that led but having had it on my 2014 Explorer, I kind of miss it. Long story short, I went and bought an older push the...

    A different parking brake issue...

Hate to admit it but when I first got my ST, i was doing the opposite (pulling up on the button) a few times to disengage the parking brake after having done that to engage it thinking it was just an on/off switch. Duh.. During that brief learning period, it was nice to be able to put it in...

Has anyone done PPF on their windshield?

My guess is that they had Exoshield put on the windshield and not PPF. Exoshield is not self healing like PPF and is a hard surface that stops small grit that gets kicked up off the road/track from pitting the windshield and helps to limit damage from larger objects. It’s a very popular product...

    New aFe strut tower brace

True but the computer renderings of the product look great. :D Hopefully they get a better example of the real item out there and/or a better welder. For the price they want, the welds should be a lot cleaner.

    New aFe strut tower brace

Well they certainly cleaned up those welds. :)

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Thanks, for whatever reason it looked off on their color samples and I went with Indigo Blue. In looking at your photo, it appears that what I thought was an off color may have been more my pad than the sample. Time to order and see how it goes. The prices aren’t that bad. So it’s worth a try.

    New aFe strut tower brace

FYI - While the stock Steeda bar comes in black powder coat, they will do Steeda blue (which I had done) powder coat and they indicated that there are other “basic” powder coat options available from them (whatever that means). So others might not need to paint to get what they want. Agree that...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Looks nice. I may have to reconsider doing the lift gate letters. Which color did you order as it looks closer to the Atlas Blue then what I ended up ordering?

WTB Black ST SUV Experience Emblems

Would like to but their schedule and mine unfortunately don’t line up. I understand that it’s a great time and will consider shifting miy schedule around if things line up and availability for the school is there. If I happen to get a set of the black ST badges from someone here and do sign up...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Forgot to mention the installation of the Mishimoto oil catch can kit which was quick, easy and well designed. I did appreciate the included hoses which fit like a glove. I had some concerns about the space around the catch can and if I would need to pull the whole unit out to open the catch...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Agreed but that’s the 310-hp 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 Ecoboost engine that is unique to the Bronco. The verdict is still out on the 3.0L with tune that comes in the Bronco Raptor. Time will tell if it has similar issues but given the number or people on this forum running tuned 3.0L ST’s, I’m...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Same here and had the same thought. Ford Performance sounded like the tune was going to happen when the ST first came out until the subframe changed over to the one bolt arrangement on the ST’s. Then crickets. Given that the Bronco Raptor has a performance tune to gain more out of the 3.0L...

WTB Black ST SUV Experience Emblems

I’d also be interested in a set if anyone is willing to part with them. Like the others, I’ll pay for the shipping costs.

    Greetings from Kansas City

Thanks. Glad I finally made it in. After having bought two of my previous Explorers from Thoroughbred Ford, I shifted over to Midway Ford after having issues of trust with Thoroughbred‘s Service Department and being told by their salesman and other Ford dealers that they wouldn’t honor my...

    Greetings from Kansas City

After having my order for a 2021 ST cancelled by Ford, I was able to quickly pivot thanks to the dealer with an order for a 2022 Atlas Blue ST and took delivery of it back in mid-December. Been trying to get an account registered here for a while but apparently AT&T doesn’t like emails from this...
