MBRP Axleback or MRT H-Pipe and Tips?

Yikes that’s pretty raspy, I’m guessing that’s not with stock mufflers either.

    New to ST

Welcome and congrats! FYI A front sway bar does nothing for these cars. I detail all the aftermarket parts in my modding guide: https://explorerst.wordpress.com/2025/03/13/explorer-st-modding-guide/

    Cold air intakes 25 ST

Intakes won’t do anything unless you’re pushing the car to its limits.

Best tires and rim size for racing

So many things to unpack here. 200 MPH would be impossible in these cars. It’s not power that’s the problem, it’s aerodynamics. What would prevent the ST from taking corners at 150 MPH? It’s weight. A purpose built Mustang would struggle to take most corners at 150 MPH. Thes cars are a somewhat...

Yep think that’s they’re automated response.

Best tires and rim size for racing

I think you’re starting to think a little crazy here. 150 MPH around a corner in these cars is not safe nor most likely possible ever. I don’t think these cars could hit 180s, the S550 GT500s top out at around 186 so I don’t think these cars are going to ever get close to that.

MBRP Axleback or MRT H-Pipe and Tips?

The MBRO will drone like crazy since it’s basically just a muffler delete. Same for the MRT h pipe, it’s not that loud with stock mufflers, but it’s basically a resonator delete and I’ve heard it can get annoying too. If you don’t want to spend the money on a full cat-back, Gibson is the only...

    Cold air intakes 25 ST

CAI do nothing for power, especially since you can’t tune the 2025s. A CAI would just be for looks. Sound wise the only that does that is the Fenfab intake, it adds a lot of fun turbo noises.

Best tires and rim size for racing

That’s not the concern. Not a big deal, easy to change with Forscan. It’s aesthetics, looks weird.

    Thermal R&D 3” exhaust

Nope, just the ever lasting problem of catching a serious symptom of heavy right foot to hear exhaust goodness :-)

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

No. About the same as stock wheels.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

It’s all about spoke clearance and barrel clearance. Different production methods effect brake clearance.

Best tires and rim size for racing

Should be at +30 all around.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

It’s not about wheel width, it’s about caliper clearance. A 295/45r20 is a little wide on an 9” wheel, I’d bump up wheel width to 10” or 10.5”.

Best tires and rim size for racing

Interesting perspective. Purely from a weight reduction perspective, 20s are you’re best option. I’d have to do a little research to see what would be my recommended “maximum performance” (odd to say on a SUV) wheel and tire setup would be. That could be pretty expensive, what are you looking to...

Has anyone "tuned" their gauge cluster?

That would be a huge pain to try to get all the electronics to work together, for not much benefit.

    Forscsn updates abilities etc

That’s unfortunate. Literally just used your sheet yesterday, was very helpful.
