Att tech's misfire issue bank to bank

Generally speaking, for purposes of misfire, the crank sensor is used to sense out-of-range angular momentum changes. This allows the ECU to detect individual cylinder misfires (depending on the granularity of the crank position sensor). From what the OP has written, the ECU is not narrowing it...

Att tech's misfire issue bank to bank

You seem to be convinced that it's boost related. Why is that? I can't see that as the issue since the same amount of boost is being produced at lower load levels and yet you're not seeing the problem occur there according to you. You also had a tune on it, and then removed the tune. What...

Audio system working but no sound.

Does the NAV still function, or does it show a symbol (circle with a slash through it)?

Audio system working but no sound.

I had this exact same thing happen on my ST. Just before the battery went completely dead and locked me out. Resets did not solve the problem. On mine, the NAV also quit functioning.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

To be clear, my "yep" was in response to the airbox comment.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

@jwuonog This has been discussed. Any larger frame turbos are going to change the centerline of the turbine outlet and compressor inlet relative to the head. Especially since you would have to fab a v-band or T3 adapter. That means fabrication of downpipes, intake pipes, and hot side outlets...

are you guys wet? or dry on AFE intake setups?

One can actually create (and it was done in the past, cuz very little is truly new), an effective air filter with a miniscule pressure drop. The concept is to use the velocity of the air traveling through an arc. The circumference (outside area) of the arc being a "wick" embedded with oil...

are you guys wet? or dry on AFE intake setups?

Think about this for a second. If you're just talking pressure drop, the only thing that matters about air filters is the surface area (bigger = better), and porosity (more = better). So given a filter of a certain size, how can a filter be less restrictive? The answer is that it must be more...

    Transmission Issues?

I sometimes do not understand some of these posts. Someone likes "sport mode" because it delays shifts, holds gears longer, and provides faster accelerator modulation. I get it, it's more fun. However, it's a friggin' algorithm, handled by software. It's not a mind reader, and therefore it's...

    Steeda or aFe Sway-Bar?

Whether you realize it or not, your attitude comes through loud and clear from your posts....as exemplified by your last post! You say you're 72? Perhaps I'm not the one who needs to "Grow up". lol.

    Steeda or aFe Sway-Bar?

Your recent posts seem to be needlessly abrasive. Here is the source of the information. And, if one were to buy the newer RWD ST, it's probably closer to 50/50.

    Steeda or aFe Sway-Bar?

The front and rear bars need to be balanced correctly- as I'm sure you all know. For me, on a street driven vehicle, I'd do the PIU front and rear sways and shocks. You better believe that Ford has made some significant investment in engineering to address that market segment. The PIU...

Has anyone done an Intercooler Comparison?

Certainly the jump in HP won't be as extreme, and ZFG would be the best person to ask about what kinds of gains to expect with your mod list. I'd certainly buy the intercooler, even at your current setup. Good insurance, and far more resistant to heat-soak than the stocker. I'm going to assume...

    Noise Canceling Toggle

It's there, you just forgot. It isn't called "Noise Cancelling", it's labeled "Disable Spousal Entry".

Has anyone done an Intercooler Comparison?

How are they " ... strange"? Nothing seems any different than any other vehicle where some vendors post questionable dyno claims and others post none at all. For example, a larger intercooler won't necessarily give you better dyno results, but it will make your intake air temps more...

    Can the ST Drift???!!

Honestly, it probably "could" drift, but this is not the platform for a drift machine. Too heavy, too high CG, and nowhere near enough HP stock.

    E85 Question

There You should look also at the gas mileage thread. If I were just trying to get good highway mileage I'd be shooting for a low ethanol content. All things being equal, you'll get better mileage from a higher gas content for part-throttle driving. Ethanol is a great fuel for racing, but if...
