    New Explorer ST on off-road

I'm sure it will go anywhere a Subaru Outback will go....and look at their commercials! I'd leave places in Moab off the list.

    Gear Head Auto Octane Tune

175+ HP increase on 93/30? On stock turbos? A two year old chart? Although that chart looks kosher mathematically, something smells wrong here. Looking at the chart, I would have to believe that "splash blending" e30 with 93 resulted in approx 100HP over a 93 tune? In fact, it nets 20HP and...

    Lowering springs with OEM shocks

My belief is you should stick with a system. If you're looking to lower the vehicle, stick with Steeda components. I'm sure they've tested things together, rather than just putting out a larger swaybar (bigger isn't always better). For myself, I know the amount of engineering that various...

Hey @l1tech anything you can contribute to @Kapster55 ? Start reading at post #15

    Turbo Issues/No boost

If you can't DIY a boost leak, I don't know how anyone can help you. The only way it could be back pressure is if you had some significant mechanical failure of the mufflers, so bad that they are nearly completely choked off. Don't take this wrong, but you don't strike me as someone who has...

    Turbo Issues/No boost

Please don't take this the wrong way. I understand your frustration. But honestly, these vehicles are extremely complicated. You either have an easily diagnosed boost leak, or it's more complex. If diagnosing a boost leak is not your expertise, I understand, but then you're out of luck for...

    Turbo Issues/No boost

If you're trying to fix this yourself, you need to check all the connections between the turbo compressor outlets and the throttle body. If you don't know how to do this, don't know what "valve" was replaced, and can't respond to my question on "resonator", I suggest you take it to someone who...

    Turbo Issues/No boost

What "valve" did they replace? Did that fix the problem? When you say they replaced "resonators", to what are you specifically referring? DId that fix the problem? My first bet is since you have replaced your intercooler it is a boost leak. Need more info.

    Active Grille Shutters

I'd like to point out that the grill shutters aren't used to "help the engine warm up faster". That is the job of the thermostat. In fact, until the engine warms up enough to allow the thermostat to open and send coolant to the radiator, the radiator doesn't perform any function at all.

Fly wheel upgraded and car is struggling to start

It is very unlikely you can figure this out. Here is a link to diagnosis of the starter module. If you notice, unless you're a top-level tech, or it leaves you a DTC, you're going to need professional help. Sorry...

    New ST Owner

Yep, that is the four bolt. See the two bolts in the subframe horizontal to the diff with rubber bushings. The three bolt diffs only have the one on the left side of the picture.

    Which set of Downpipes?

You seem to be very defensive about my observations. Nor do you address anything about HP/torque numbers that I bring up. Sorry you feel forum members asking intelligent questions has "f**ked up ...Sunday" for you. Perhaps you think this forum shouldn't question anything you have to say...

    Which set of Downpipes?

I have two dyno results from completely stock STs: Both on 93. One is 324HP/374 torque. The other is 332HP/378 torque. Easily found by searching this site. I think you'd have to admit by your posted numbers though that you're 40+ lb/ft torque and 23+ more HP than the best of those. And even...

    Which set of Downpipes?

@SR56 This was the before & after: 355 HP / 416 TQ 376 HP / 420 TQ From your post, that first number is completely stock. The second number is after downpipes and intercooler. I'm not saying you lied about it. Take the personal stuff out of it, and try to understand my skepticism. You're...

    Which set of Downpipes?

Do you have dyno results to share? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it doesn't make a lot of sense that someone with no tune- and just an intercooler and newly minted downpipes paid a couple hundred dollars for a dyno- unless they were sponsored by a vendor. If I'm wrong, I'll be more than...
