    Which set of Downpipes?

Like I posted, I'm sure there are gains to be had. I'm just trying to let those who don't have your expertise know that if you're taking about stock, or near stock- they aren' worth the money. I also want to warn those who aren't knowledgeable that under the "clean hands" doctrine, if you...

    Which set of Downpipes?

I think I'd spend the money on the intercooler. If I were just going for handling, and not for lowering, I'd go for the PIU shocks and swaybars.

    Which set of Downpipes?

I suppose I'm going to get a bunch of blowback on this, but when @Blown F-150 posts "going to depend on the tune", he means exactly that. One thing that I've learned on this forum is that not everyone understands how various components work together. A pair of downpipes bolted on a stock ST is...

    Intercooler Lag ?

A larger intercooler does have a greater volume. At least one of them advertised around 2.5 times more volume than the stocker. So of course it will take slightly longer to pressurize under boost if there isn't pressure there already. Very hard to say what the "lag" would be.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

That seems like a good hack- I saw the posts from @jwuonog where he did this and followed the liink. After nearly three years of seeing people try different things in Forescan, it's great that someone figured it out. It makes perfect sense that the need for the power steering pump (driven by...

    So I just de-tuned

There have been several threads here relating to the same behavior. I've stated in other posts and even shown information from the service manual that this transmission can "de-clutch" under various scenarios including torque, wheel spin, etc, This isn't a 30 year old transmission. It...

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I had completely forgotten about the AC circuit when I posted earlier. It does indeed affect when the ASS functions. Heat is probably far less of a problem than AC which requires the engine to be running.

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

Here is the latest update which is post #5. This shows a compressor map for the best matching turbo for the ST engne in the Garrett line-up, the G40/G30-900. Feel free to ask any questions.

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

Probably something educational in another medium. I appreciate the innovators, the relentlessly curious, those who do things for the intrinsic satisfaction of accomplishing something different. There are only about 2-3 people on this site who demonstrate those qualities....and a new genius...

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

I sold my welder, oxy torches, compressor, bead blaster, my four car garage with loft, etc a few years ago when I downsized to move to TN to be near kids and grandkids. I was never a great welder anyway! At this point, this is a virtual "build", since my plans for this platform no longer make...

    Ford Performance Tune

There are other threads that address this as you post. Battery life, oil life, and coolant temperature, sport mode- all impact the ASS system.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

Too big. Match up my mass flow numbers and pressure ratios from here against any compressor maps you wish. Also remember to consider the compressor RPM drop across gear changes- that'll help in understanding transient response. You cannot do better than the 9174 on this engine, especially...

    Other turbo upgrade options?

@jwuonog Believe me, I researched this exhaustively. The only G series dual would be the G25-550- which aren't a great match, would more than double the price (those are NOT cheap), and not only would you have to fab the intake pipes, downpipes, and charge pipes, not to mention the need to deal...

    Other turbo upgrade options?

You're missing the point, there is no 3-1 collector. The turbos are integrated into the head with the turbines bolted in place. There are no "headers" @UNBROKEN is right, only two pipes need to be fabricated to the single turbine entry- pretty much taking the place of the existing cold side...

    Steeda Front Sway Bar

I hold a representative for a major company to a higher standard than a new member asking about the best floor mats. That being said, y'all are right, my comment was too harsh. For that I apologize.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

@bosephbarking , good job, and actually, you forced my hand. However...(I think I'm reading your post correctly) a higher turbine A/R will "bring in power" later rather than sooner. The EFR turbos are pretty much state of the art at the time I'm writing this, not only because of the bearings...

    Steeda Front Sway Bar

I'm a fan of your products...however, based on your grammar, sentence structure, and that "review", you should probably let someone else in the company communicate to those in the enthusiast community. Stick to twitter.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

No turbo option is going to make much of a difference if you're fuel/octane limited. There are definitely gains to be made via a larger A/R or wheel on the turbine side, but unless you can run a higher pressure ratio on the compressor side, the only thing that a larger compressor might supply...

    Other turbo upgrade options?

If you're going to be running a 91 tune in PHX, neither the cats nor the intake will make much difference. I also have stuck by saying it's going to save labor to replace the cats when one replaces turbos. None of these mods are going to increase your gas mileage.
  20. T

    Other turbo upgrade options?

Others (especially vendors) might not agree, but I wouldn't bother with aftermarket cats on the stock turbos. If you have the extra $600 to spend, I'd spend it on the aFe intake instead. At 91 octane and a tune, it's not going to make any big difference, but it looks great and if the...
