Anyone know the setup Porsche uses on the Macan? Slightly bigger engine that sounds pretty damn good for a factory exhaust.

    Spare Tire Well

Anyone add any dynamat type material down there yet? I did it on our 2010 Edge and my 2016 Chevy SS sedan and it made a pretty big difference. I know there is that piece of insulation directly below the tire there doesn't look like much else back there to help with the noise.

I found a thread on XDA forums about this topic, seems like it was headed in the right direction and then the OP asked to have it closed. I wonder if Ford sent a nice letter informing him of something.....

Stupid question, do we have GDI engines?

Directions are on the can, easiest way is to find a vacuum hose near the throttle body. Without two people it is almost impossible, one of the Amazon reviewers built an interesting contraption to spray the cleaner in. Do not spray before the maf sensor.

Stupid question, do we have GDI engines?

This is what I used on my Jaguar XFR that was DI, a cleaner through the intake or taking the intake off is the only way to get the valves clean on a DI engine. If the dealer recommends the Vmax clean or other fuel additives slap them upside the head. My parents have been doing the Vmax treatment...

Stupid question, do we have GDI engines?

It is a function of the engine design, not really a crappy design. DI engines have been around for a while now if you don't like the latest versions go research the VW engines from 10 years ago. Other than a catch can there are cleaners you can use and some shops offer services to take off the...

    Loose Parts

Decided to see if there is a dipstick for the trans to monitor the fluid level after reading the fluid has a tendency to vacate the transmission on some vehicles and instead of finding a dipstick I found these pieces. I was unable to locate another piece of plastic in the engine bay that looks...

2021 Ford Explorer gets price cut, Explorer ST kicking off at $53,850, saving $2,135 compared to 2020

I test drove a Telluride and Palisade, Ford got caught with their pants down IMO, you take the badges off the Explorer, Telluride, Palisade and Atlas and I bet most of the buying public will pick the Telluride or Palisade. I was straight with the Hyundai and Kia guys I couldn't get past the...
