Really loving Ford's CEO at the moment

I've had to replace major components on this vehicle during the first 5 years of ownership and under 50K miles that I've never ever had to replace on any other Ford, Mercury, Lincoln or Infiniti that I have owned over the past 35 years. Lucky for me they were all repaired or replaced under...

    built in hard drive

It should be different on the new infotainment screen on the 2025 model. Yours is same as mine, which is Sync 3.

Really loving Ford's CEO at the moment

If only quality and reliability could be improved in the near future! I really don't trust the product anymore after this 2020 Explorer!

My 2020 has a replay button next to the alert button. Then you use the arrows to rewind like on a DVR or video player.

I've had 2 Lincolns and now this ST with SiriusXM and you can set alerts for favorite artists and song tracks as well as rewind live radio. I love using these features but don't think they're available on "free" radio.

    Build quality

Don't count on it! I'm past year 5 and have had problems since about 11K miles. Now I have almost 59K miles. Lots of major powertrain repairs.

What grade of gas do you put in your ST?

The reverse can also be true! When I see a young, fit, macho, man driving an ST, I get a boost and feel like a mule-hung stud! LMAO

    Scraped a pole... ugh

I like almost having a heart attack everytime I back up too fast and it overreacts and slams the brakes! From day one I became aware of it but after 5+ years of driving this, I'm used to it and set off the reverse brake assist maybe once a month or less. I'd rather have it on and not damage my...

Ford is an embarrassment to me right now! My TPMS is on backorder as well...

2025 Ford Explorer ST engine dies as soon as I put in gear

It was wishful thinking that the 2025 refresh would fix all the problems plaguing the 2020, which is what mine is. Guess not! Ford should be ashamed at how they've ruined the Explorer name!

    Scraped a pole... ugh

Mine is a 2020 without auto-parking brake in other words, I have to engage the parking brake when I put the transmission in Park. Recalls made the parking brake mandatory. Reverse brake assist is something I like to live with because my driveway has a stone wall and when the rear camera and...

My 2020 Ford Explorer ST has been the worst vehicle i have ever owned

My engine is one of the few major components that hasn't had any problems on my 2020!

    Scraped a pole... ugh

I can't live without auto-hold. Here in D.C. area we have some of the worst traffic in the country! When I drive a car without auto-hold, I'm so annoyed! This is the first vehicle I have ever had that feature on, since 2019. Also can't live without parallel park assist and intelligent cruise...

My 2020 Ford Explorer ST has been the worst vehicle i have ever owned

Only 300 miles and it's a 2020??? WTF How many miles now? Or are you saying 5 years ago you had the engine replaced.

    Scraped a pole... ugh

A light tap disengages my brake and/or auto-hold. You just have to trust it. Goosing sounds like way more than a tap. A tap disengages doesn't actually apply throttle. Same with auto-start-stop. Tap enough to start engine not enough to lunge forward. There is a difference, subtle but there is...

    Parking brake automatically engages

The display will tell you the ASS status. For example, engine on vehicle charging, engine on until next stop, engine on due to low temperature, engine on due to heating/cooling, engine off, engine on normal operation, deactivated by driver, engine on due to steering angle, etc.

    Ford Performance Hood graphic

That's that terribly designed hood which fills with water if I park uphill in the rain! Free bird bath built in!

    Parking brake automatically engages

FADA was deleted after 2020 MY. Mine had it but when I had alert messages and driveability issues, they did the TSB 2174 and now I don't have FADA.

    Sun Roof Fabric Issue

That's one of the few failings I haven't experienced in the past LONG 5 years of ownership!

    Half To Empty Tank Instantly!

This is the sixth car I've owned and happens to be my favorite but at the same time I've never had so many major repairs in such a short time!
