    Key Fob Question

The fob and smart key feature is designed to never leave your pocket. Simply touch the door handle and it unlocks. Then you get in, push the button to start! BRILLIANT! After you park, push button to stop, get out, touch the lock symbol on the door handle and walk away! I've had these features...

Broken reflector lens on rear bumper

That part! I live in a state that raised insurance premiums over 40% this year, whether you had any claims or not!

2025 Ford Explorer ST Front End Popping Noises at Low Speeds

Ford designed the 6th generation Explorer to look tougher than any previous one but unfortunately it's not engineered to be very tough. In fact, after owning 5 sedans previously, this was my first truck ever and it's really pretty flimsy and downright fragile after only 55,000 miles on mine...

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

It's been LOVE and HATE since day one for me! I had my 5 year anniversary yesterday!

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

Ford just can't get it right and I'm not making apologies for them any more. Their lack of durability and quality control on this vehicle is an embarrassment. I've been a Ford owner for 40 years and NEVER have I had so many major components replaced under or out of warranty in just 5 years...

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

A full-redesign or all-new platform is different than a mid-cycle refresh. The engines, transmissions, chassis, suspension, major hardware, etc. are all carry-over since 2020. Most of the changes on the 2025 are cosmetic, i.e. new front and rear fascia, wheels, interior and infotainment systems...

    To extend warranty or not

Nope but starting today I have 2 more years left. Today is my 5 year anniversary and end of powertrain warranty. The Premium Care ESP with first day rental was how I convinced my service advisor to give me a loaner or rental each time I had powertrain repairs. He said without that I was not...

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

Yes they are cheaply made. I established this 5 years ago this week when I picked mine up. Within 2 months I had a Check Engine Light and driver's seat was clicking and popping on turns and bumps. Yours is a mid-cycle refresh and should have been improved after 5 years of stagnation. Guess not...

    To extend warranty or not

I purchased for $1525 for 4 more years and 85K miles total 2 years ago at 34K miles. I have 2 years left. $100 deductible, pickup/delivery, first day rental coverage. I purchased from Anderson and Koch Ford Inc. I currently have 56K miles.

    To extend warranty or not

I've had numerous and major problems with mine mostly under powertrain warranty. Everything else was covered under bumper to bumper or recall in the past 5 years. I did get a top of the line Ford Protect Premium ESP 2 years ago and have yet to use it and have 2 years and 27K miles left on it. My...

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

I'm keeping my 2020 then and not getting a 2025. The devil I know...

    Rear End Failure

This exact thing happened to me. The wrong differential was installed and now since they put the correct one, the shuddering, grinding is gone. So in the past year, I've had 2 transfer cases and 2 differentials installed.

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

Wow and I was hopeful that despite my numerous major issues with my first-year ST, that by 2025 Ford would have worked out the bugs over the past 5.5 years!

2021 ST rattling bulking noice going over small bumps!

Great to know that Ford has really spent the last 5+years studying the issues and really did their homework to try to resolve them and satisfy new customers--NOT!

Some issues about my 2024 Ford Explorer ST Line: after 9 month

As much as I hate the problems I had with my 2020 all under warranty btw, I would never have wanted a newer model year without all the bells and whistles that should be on a $60+ vehicle. Mine has everything and I wouldn't have it any other way! Love my massaging seats, cooled/heated, wiper...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

The sporty aggressive looks, driving experience and my 21 inch shiny black wheels were what made me choose the ST over the Nautilus V6 5 years ago this week!

    Rattling

I've never leased a vehicle but it seems that is the best way to go nowadays and every 3 years get a brand new vehicle!

    Rattling

At a price point of $60,000 and monthly payments of $700 per month, I would have hoped Ford could have actually built a car that wouldn't fall apart in less than a few years and frustrated owners wouldn't have to get their hands dirty and have to solve problems themselves! Guess it was too much...

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

After that repair is when all my recent problems started: rear differential and transfer case both replaced twice in a span of just 6 months! It has made me lose faith in Ford and especially Explorers! Previoiusly I've owned 2 MKZ's, Mystique and Tempo and this is the Ford product with the most...
