Yeah for sure. What happens after that is debatable and who knows. I would think though, my fight to get something covered would be less of an issue with a FP tune vs a true aftermarket tune. I can’t say for sure though and it’s still a gamble.

What changes are you looking to do? It’s extremely easy to do. I was very nervous myself and put it off for months. Just did it a few weeks ago and was very straightforward.

Make sure the brightness slider is up all the way. Also, could just be because the ST has more screens up front with more brightness, which would make the ambient lighting appear less bright.

I had one of those pieces break off on one side. That same side I couldn’t ever get the light to get seated correct again. Maybe it was like that before and I just didn’t realize it.

Yeah when I was at the ST driving experience, they said slippery mode can be used in rain. Mainly heavy rain. from my experience, eco is really only helpful in city driving. Keeps rpms down and honestly just makes you less likely to gun it. That in of itself helps with fuel economy.

Can’t answer your question but it’s a recall. Dont they have to keep trying things regardless until it’s fixed. I would suggest trying a different dealer though. They seem awful.

Any recommendations? I’ve once had a steering wheel peel before with some cleaner. It was awhile ago and I don’t remember exactly what I used. Needless to say I am very cautious now.

Keep us updated! As far as that cost goes, did you tell the dealer that you were going to preload it? Did that affect the cost? I’m just having a hard time with the one dealer around me that quoted $210.

Glad I’m not the only one who thought of that possible situation. Would be very slimy of a dealer but I could see it happening. Is there a way to check to see after the fact if it’s actually installed?

Be careful I think there are calibration issues with our generation of explorer.
