You can't talk to them. They're too busy smoking crack to answer the phone!

New Member to the I'm Having Trouble with My ST Club

My battery died completely at about 19 months of ownership. They said it was a bad battery and replaced under warranty. I've had many other electrical gremlins with the liftgate opening randomly when walking by or touching the door handle. Also had the lights on in auto mode. That one hasn't...

    Air Conditioning.

I had a 2013 Lincoln MKZ which was colder AC than my 2020 ST so I would leave the temp a few degrees higher for AC and lower for heat. Every car I've owned with auto HVAC system is a little different as far as cooling power especially.

It's whatever you prefer. I feel a little warm with Auto set to 71 in summer so I like 3 lights all the time. In winter I like 69 degrees and one light.

It does still do that on mine. I never change the fan speed. It's always on auto and temperature is always perfect. The fan adjusts to warm or cool the interior. It's just that the auto button has 3 lights indicating the default speed when the cabin has reached the desired temperature. Auto...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

There's a small switch on the tip of the wiper stalk that has 3 positions: off, one click up is delay wipe, second click normal speed rear wiper. Also if you push the stalk away from you it washes the rear glass and camera lens. Pulling forward washes your windshield and front camera lens. (if...

    Air Conditioning.

On a cold or hot day the auto mode adjusts fan speed to heat or cool as fast as possible. But this vehicle, unlike older vehicles I've owned, has 3 auto settings with 1, 2 or 3 amber lights in the auto button corresponding to default fan speed preference. You'll definitely notice more fan noise...

That happened to me when I took delivery of it over 2 years ago. I actually had to read the instruction manual to find the tiny switch! Now I use it all the time.

    Air Conditioning.

I have mine at 71 in the summer and 69 in winter. I put the auto fan speed at 3 in warm weather and 1 in cold weather. Each time you hit the auto button there are up to 3 lights indicating fan speed.

    Reconsidering Explorer ST

The tech said it's a common problem and he's done this repair several times before. He said the last one he did for a coworker who said it drove better than ever before. BTW, I found this video which shows the fix for another known problem with the early model year's catalytic converter design...

    Reconsidering Explorer ST

They performed this TSB https___www.fordservicecontent.com_Ford...ult.aspx_VIN=&version=5.0&environment= (nhtsa.gov) I took it in Saturday afternoon 2/26 and got it back on Wednesday 3/9. I also had the rear camera replaced because the recall to reprogram the IPMB didn't solve the problem.

    Reconsidering Explorer ST

I don't mean to be negative but I drive mine gently most of the time and had to have the transmission repaired at 25K miles. I'd hate to see what more power and torque would do to this 10 speed transmission!

    wind buffeting with sunroof

The worst is when I have less than a quarter tank full of gas and parked on an incline, my engine won't start! This happened twice and is just annoying! And again I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I've learned to live with that and all the rattles and noises from the interior. Just...

    wind buffeting with sunroof

In 36 years of driving I've never had a fuel pump fail, rear window defroster peel, transmission A clutch and support break, rear camera defect (I've owned 3 cars with cameras since 2010) and a battery that only lasted only 18 months! All of these things have been repaired or replaced in a...

    wind buffeting with sunroof

True but this vehicle is very cheaply made. So many people have had their driver's seat fall apart, window switches peel, rear defroster peel off, camera fail, transmission fail, front suspension boot come apart, catalytic converter crack. On and on and on... I've personally experienced most of...

Also, someone had the rear door sun shades break off when driving with the windows open and shades deployed.

    wind buffeting with sunroof

Someone here had theirs break off when driving at highway speeds. It is very flimsy and cheaply made and weakly attached.

The sunroof definitely adds to the noise but I love having one so it's worth it to me. Yesterday it was covered in ice and squeaked horribly over bumps until the ice melted today.
