Went with a SCT BDX tuner

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been using gearhead auto octane tune for 6 months. Sure ZFG may be a tenth or 2 faster. But I’m running mid-low 12’s with just a tune on 93. The drivability is awesome for around town. Matt really does a good job. For the money I also didn’t see the point going to...

Ladies and Gentlemen. Post your wheels please.

I run the exact same wheel. With the same tires size and I have plenty of room. Never came close to rubbing.

Looks good man. I’m just over the border in NH. Roughly an hour or so from Gillette. I have H&R’s sitting on my garage floor. I’m just lazy.

Looking for 500hp, what’s the best plan 2023 ST 3000 miles

The cheapest non eBay one you can get. They will pretty much perform the exact same. Cvfab usually is the cheapest and a quality piece.

    K&N Oil Filter

k&n conventional oil filters have a nut on the end of them. That way you can use a regular wrench or socket to take them off. One of my old turbo cars had the oil cooler stuffed right next to the oil filter housing. It was a bitch to get a filter wrench in there. So I used the k&n and a regular...

    K&N Oil Filter

The only reason I ever used a k&n filter was for the nut on the end. I mostly use wix, it’s reasonably priced, available anywhere and a good aftermarket filter.

    22” Wheels??

Thanks, I ended up going with a 35 tire. I might switch to a 40 on the next set. Really depends on tire options at the time.

Should I spend an extra $300?

I traded in the edge before I had a chance to use them in the snow. My dad has an edge st as well. He runs the lionharts year round. Said he’s never had a problem in the snow. But he’s also retired and stays in when it’s really bad. I currently have a set of them on my explorer. I honestly don’t...

Should I spend an extra $300?

I have no clue why I had such a problem. They were just evenly worn below the wear bars. I always had good luck with Bridgestones previously. I can’t speak on the warranty. I got them from tire rack. I ended up throwing a set of lionharts on it as my inspection was due. I didn’t have time to...

Should I spend an extra $300?

I can tell you I ran those Bridgestones on my edge before. They were 265/40/21’s they weren’t bad tires but they were smoked at 22k miles. That’s with rotating them every 5/6k miles. Wouldn’t pass inspection. I also ran dws06’s on my sho loved those tires. I can’t say how well they held up. I...

    22” Wheels??

Thank you all for the suggestions. I have decided to go with a 305 tire. The price really isn’t much different. Currently deciding between a 35 and 40 series sidewall. Will a 40 fit being lowered on h&r’s?

    22” Wheels??

You can call it useless if you want. But for my needs it’s perfect. It’s not a race car it’s a 4600lb family car that my wife drives. I want to keep the 40 sidewall because the roads here are terrible. I really don’t think my wife or I need the 3/4’s of an inch more contact path on a 305 tire...

    22” Wheels??

I’m looking to run a 285/40/22 tire on a 22x10.5 30 offset wheel. Will I have rubbing issues once’s lowered on steeda or eibach springs? Reason I want to run that tire size is it’s the exact same height (31”) as the stock 255/55/20’s.

Welcome to the Explorer ST Forum, please post an introduction

I’m Tim I picked up a 2021 ST with 16k roughly a month ago. Been lurking here for a while before I purchased it. Came from a 2018 edge sport. The st is a massive upgrade. Also had an 2015 sho before the edge. Mods will be coming soon.
