Explorer lunging at high speed while parking

I’ve never experienced this in my ST. I have Weathertech floor mats and they fit well.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

McGard lugs, ECU cover and 2 flag hitch.

I quoted your comment to my wife. I don't think she's ever laughed so hard at my expense.

    Intercooler install upstate NY

I’m in Buffalo - let me know if you find someone. I’d like to get to it eventually. HSF (HoustonSpeedFreaks) on Youtube goes through this install. It doesn’t look overly difficult but it does take time. Also, if you ever need to get it on a lift, there’s a garage on Bailey that rents lifts by...

New York State Inspection with a tune.

Also in NY here. I read something on this forum (somewhere) about Ford refusing to do the inspection checks because the tune resets something and they can see it but your local shop may not. It comes down to the emissions test. I’d be interested in hearing back. I don’t have a tune but I’ve only...

    Dangerous?

I appreciate that. As much as I'd like to remove my post out of embarrassment, I'll leave it up for the benefit of others

    Dangerous?

    Thanks 2020. I still feel like a horse's a$s after unbroken's response but yeah, back-of-the-head slap felt.

    Dangerous?

I deserve that - I was rushing to get it done through my lunch hour. I'll take your response to my asking about 'Concerns'. Thanks cdubya. Yes I used a regular torque wrench (not impact) at 150 to tighten the lugs with the car on ground. Yes, I need a bigger floor jack.

    Dangerous?

Let's get one thing sorted. I have all the respect for automotive techs when it comes to working on vehicles, whether they be the old carb systems, EFI's or today's gadget and computer-laden DDs. I'm in a different kind of tech - cloud infrastructure & security to be specific. So when someone...

Almost time to replace 21" Pirellis any recommendation?

Thanks Sadeen - I'm comparing this to the Mich's which have a lot of popularity on this site. :)

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

If it's anything like the weathertech, it'll fold. It's not pretty, but it is malleable enough to roll up behind the 3rd seat in a pinch.

    Recommended First Upgrades

Just saw their vid on this last night. I was disappointed at the end when he said, If you're not at the track, it's not necessary :D I think peace-of-mind and the reduced wear and tear on the system as a whole is still worth the investment. Plus...if you're like me and new to modding, this one...

Milwaukee 1/2” drive with Neiko sockets

Anyone have experience using a Neiko socket set on a Milwaukee 1/2 in drive? Any issues? Stick with Milwaukee’s set? I don’t have this tool in the garage but am looking to get the drive and both metric/sae sockets. Prices differences are significant. Thx.

Fair point. I enjoy watching HSF - was actually shopping for the Milwaukee 1/2 inch impact today - and they still don't sponsor him :ROFLMAO:
