    Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Hk.

I think they are designed to idle as long as the coolant and belt, idlers are replaced when needed. I've seen some terrible examples with 13k hours idling and not any services logged in carfax. I would stay far away. Maintenance is everything for these high performance engines to last.

    ST vs. The Competition

I enjoy having my sleepers as vehicles. My white FPIU with no roof racks and the police hub caps and spotlight no so sleepy but I will put the hub caps on the wheels soon. I just love having a fast sleeper that kicks ass for say 50k less than those people financed and have to come up with...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

So what I did to my FPIU, I added the vehicle to my Ford Pass account and activated the truck connection and I was able to connect my phone to the vehicle with the Ford Pass app and now I can use remote start from my phone and have Ford monitoring services for free. Very nice feature.

    Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Hk.

I've had good very good experiences in buying a former squad car. You should always look for a Sherrif's dept and a one driver assigned vehicle. The place where I have bought my last 4 is in Chicago and they only do govt vehicles and buy consistently from departments that take care of the...

Going from the Explorer Sport to an ST, was it a big difference?

My wife still has her 16 Sport and she has no plans to get rid of it. I also say why not it runs perfect and its paid off, so keep driving and maintain it. I'm tall 6'3" and recently my Interceptor sedan 3.5l ecoboost was totaled and I bought a 2021 Interceptor Utility 3.0l Ecoboost. For me...

    Replaced purge valve.

Yes I bought a Napa one and it has life time warranty on it. I don't want to have to do that procedure any time soon. I don't exactly know how that is plumbed by I would suspect that there is pressure on that valve a lot. Maybe boost pressure. I replaced the purge valve once on my Taurus...

I've got a Check Engine Light

I just replaced mine yesterday and that green clip is not easy to get off. you have to push both tabs to the open position then push them towards the clamp. I paid 58 bucks for the purge valve and took a coupld hours but the code is gone and I'm happy.

    Grill shutters

I'm sure glad mine doesn't have the shutters and still average 20.9 mpg in mixed driving.

    Replaced purge valve.

Hello, Yesterday I replaced the purge valve on my truck and what a pain in the a$$! Ford couldn't give about 3 more inches of wire to the solenoid so that made it very difficult to ger the connector unclipped as well as the green spring clip for the hose. I got it but I'm very tall and had to...

Any other owners of 2020-21 Interceptor utility in the forum?

Hello. I am wondering if there are any other owners of the police interceptor version that are members here. I recently purchased a 21 Explorer interceptor utility with the 3.oll twin turbo. I've been reading all I can about it. The car is stiff and tight and accelerates awesome! I'm very happy...

Welcome to the Explorer ST Forum, please post an introduction

Hello All, I'm very familiar with the 3.5l ecoboost, my whole family has them either as Explorer Sports or Police interceptor sedans, and I just lost my 2015 Tuarus Twin Turbo due to a drunk driver but everyone was ok. I just purchased a 2021 Explorer Interceptor 3.0 Twin turbo and its...
