Mine chipped and cut my finger a few times, too with less than 20K miles. Dealer replaced under warranty no problem.

That's definitely been on my radar since it's happened to at least 2 others mentioned in this thread. In MO, it's 4 attempts at fixing the same problem. I like the car and would happily keep it if they could fix the problem for good. Stay tuned.....

Well, here's my update. My ST has still been consistently smoking on cold start. The first time I took it to the dealer for service, they "couldn't find any codes" so did nothing. This was my second time at the dealer and I emailed a video of extreme smoke on cold start to the service manager...

I showed them the video when I brought it in and got the result I mentioned above. I'm going to take another video tomorrow morning to prove the issue still exists since they sent me home with paperwork that said they couldn't duplicate the problem. If that doesn't work, I'm going to park it...

What didn't you like about the SL? I watch all of the Mecum auctions and SL's that are 10-15 years old in the sub-30K mile range go for CHEAP. I've often considered getting one as a toy or to resell, although a 650 would fit my needs better with a "back seat."
