First time post. Looking to buy new ST with either the standard 10 speaker B&O system or as part of the 'Sight and Sound' package (with panoramic roof) that has 14 speakers.

Is the 14 speaker version any better? Also, how much weight difference with the big glass roof?

Any inputs? thx

I just picked up my 2025 ST 2 weeks ago. I wondered the same thing. I asked to listen to both systems, one on an Active line and the ST I purchased. It was a night and day difference. The sound quality fill and over all power difference was noticed quickly not only by myself but my wife also. You will want the 14 once you hear the difference. Go to the dealer and ask to test drive an active to hear the difference.

Welcome to the forum. The 14 speaker is better than the 10 speaker but it's still just Ford speakers with the B&O logo. The little 8"subwoofer doesn't do it justice and the bass cuts out around volume level 15. If you just like to have music it's fine for the average person. For me though, I replaced everything with a real system. But I appreciate good quality sound.

I don't know how the 2 systems compare, but I think the 14 speaker system is ok. The sound and imagining through the mid-range is better than I expected, once I turned the surround sound off. However, the bass is worse than I expected --- over boosted and pretty messy. It helped a little to turn the bass down a bit, but the bass still isn't very satisfying. Still, the overall sound is good enough to be enjoyable to my ears.

I don't know how much the weight sunroof adds, but I can't see it how it would make enough difference to notice in most circumstances.

I'm curious how Ford can market the vehicle as having a "B&O" audio system but not use B&O speakers; wouldn't that be false advertising? Since you swapped out your speakers I'm sure you could see they were not what is being sold to the customer which is pretty disappointing. I now wonder about all of the various Bose systems I've had in previous vehicles and if they were really Bose or not?

Thanks for the update. Sounds like good advice!

Because B&O was involved with speaker location and final tuning. It’s pretty common across various mfg’s.

I looked on a virtual window sticker to try and figure out how much extra the panoramic roof adds to the weight. I did not see it listed but maybe it is listed on the vehicle door panel where the tire pressures are listed? Anyway...

If the 14 speaker system was not special, I would probably skip the upgrade package, and upgrade the speakers with the $3000 savings....while saving some vehicle weight?
