2020 vs 2021 used ST

After my eventful test drive on a new ST, and most dealers marking up above msrp within a 50 mile radius, I’ve found a dealer with 2 used STs locally, comparably equipped, the 2020 has 29k miles listed for $49k (original msrp 60k), 2021 has 12k miles and listed at $57k (original msrp 57,900) which seems crazy to pay msrp on a used car.

Is there anything that would make the 2021 worth the extra expense? I prefer the color but not opposed to white either. Otherwise the 2020 just seems like a better buy, especially with the stronger rear.

Definitely go with the 2021, the 2020's TOTAL MSRP has three 6's in it.:oops:

I test drove a 2020 Platinum with 32,000 miles on it and a 2020 ST with 16,000 miles on. They both felt loose in the suspension department and the interior, especially the dash and the top of the door panels, on both of them were very poor materials and the fit was horrible. I looked at a 2021 ST with 16,000 miles on it and as soon as I opened the door I knew it was different. Everything fit MUCH better, the materials were better and it drove very tight. I bought it. IMO opinion I'd go with the 2021.

When were each of these made? I would prefer a late build MY2020 or an early build MY2021. As far as build quality, every one coming out of Chicago can be different. Being a used car, you never know if it was someone's former lemon. It pays to inspect and test drive these cars very carefully.

The 2020 ST was made 9/19. The 2020 Platinum was made 1/2020 and my ST has a build date of 11/2020. My ST has a 4 bolt rear diff, I don't know when they changed to the 3 bolt.

Your lucky. The 3 bolt subframe came in about 12/2020.

I bought a 2021 used with 6K miles for $65K out the door i could of got a 2022 for almost the same price. But the 2021 was exactly what I wanted and I couldn't wait I had to buy a car that day.3 dealers here in California will sell at MSRP so I am sure where ever you are they will also. Honestly assuming you can afford what ever you are looking at then who cares if you like it buy it. Check Carfax for sure you can see if its been in shop a bunch of times.

I've been seeing some used 2020s for a fair price around me.

Any downsides to the 2020s vs the other years?

Do you think a facelift is probably coming in a year or two?
