I purchased some Bosch Icon blades to replace the stock ones. I have never seen a setup like the one on my ST. Does anyone have any insight on how to get replacement wiper blades to work?

yeah it is different than what I have been used to but it's really easy; you just squeeze the two sides of the blade and tilt a little and it pops off, almost like a razor blade. pg 342 owner guide-

OK, I have to be missing something. Does the adapter on the factory blade come off somehow? There is no way for the replacement blade to attach to the arm.

Most auto parts stores will replace your blades when you buy them. Much easier!

You need the blades with OE at the end of the number is what I’ve read.

you just tilt the blade a little, squeeze the two tabs and pull off the blade. the new blade slide the tabs onto the arm and they 'click' into place.

As long as you get the OE ones you should be set and it will come with the adaptor needed. If I remember correctly it was the one on the blade already. I replaced mine and it took maybe 5 min to do total.

I have tried and I have been unable to get that adapter off of the factory blades. Does anyone have any ideas?

you don't need to remove anything from the old blade. the new blade should have the two tabs like pic 1in the Monday 10:30am post above.

I'm pretty sure those are the instructions for changing the wiper blades on the space shuttle.

I had a 2017 Explorer Platinum before my 2020 ST and I always had problems with after market blades. I just buy Ford blades once a year and I have no issues. The same goes for my wife's Fusion and now her Edge.

Maybe I had a bad batch. The OEM blades didn't travel smoothly across the windshield, they 'skipped' and were noisy. I put the Icons (recommended from this forum) and they are smooth as glass, pun intended.

I replaced the OEM blades also with the Bosch Icons and it made a world of difference. The OEM blades sucked.

Is it 26 and 21 or 22”. I keep seeing both. Looked in the manual and didn’t see anything.
