I have a 2025 Ford Explorer ST that I have had for a couple weeks now and I seem to have some kind of Electrical gremlin or dash glitch and was wondering if anyone has run into this or has one currently doing the same. So on occasion when I park my Explorer and it sits for like 10 to 20 minutes what happens is it make s a bunch of clunking and electrical noises however nothing lights up or or flashes etc in the dash or on the center screen. Then when I go to restart the car I notice that 3 of the pages I have added to the dash have disappeared. Specifically the pages I lose are Drivers Assistance, Trip 2 and the Temperature page. All of these pages Except for the driver assistance page which I think is a default page (but not sure of that) was added by me by ticking the box under the myview setup page. Also if I had a route planned in the Google map it also disappears. When I took it to the dealer and told them exactly how to replicate this they of course either did not follow my instructions or did not wait long enough and simply said they could not replicate it. So I was wondering if anyone else went thru this and if so were you able to fix it and how or is also going thru this weird gremlin. I'm hoping that maybe a future software update might come at some point to fix this as this is still a really new car and its a newer infotainment systems. I however just wanted to put out a feeler to see if this might have happened to anyone else. Thanks!

I was cleaning the wheels the other day and kept hearing a noise. I kept looking all around but couldnt figure it out. Today I was inside and heard it again. My thought was, is there a squirrel under my hood. Mine is going in for moonroof fabric repair on Weds, so I will mention it to them

Aside from the software issues, these vehicles including before 2025, click and tick and make electronic noises often and for a while after being shut off. That part is normal.

Usually if dash is tezetting..it's indicative of a low battery state of charge
The clicking etc is car sensing your near
If you walk away and come back without key snd walk near car, it will make a few clicks as modules wake up
My 23 does it every time I walk past it in front

And once you get out and shut down..it csn take a while for car to sleep or shut down all the modules..iirc testing waits like 45 to 60 minutes
But the biggie is low battery state of charge
Charge battery to 100%
Go fir a drive and see if it stays
There is a truckload of modules etc that eat power.
If you make short trips..it csnt fully recharge
Especially if you have rear ac on mid to high blower
Or constantly unlocking locking etc,

It's normal for you to hear clicking sounds, etc, after the vehicle has been off for a few minutes. The ECU is performing diagnostic tests on certain areas like the ABS system. My 23 does it randomly and it's annoying. I wish it could be disabled because it does use battery. The vehicle will go into a "sleep mode" after a couple days of non-operation and the tests will stop to save battery.

There, fixed that. I hear mine making the clicks and pops, even when it hasn't been driven for a couple of days. It's crazy.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: This is the first and only vehicle I know of that does this, though I'm sure there are others. First time I heard it I thought it was about to remote start! I've been just standing in the driveway talking to my neighbor when it started doing it and he asked, "What's wrong with your car?" Just had to laugh.

My battery is new and I did charge it and reset the BMS as well because I also thought that was why it was losing the pages and the route on the map. Ford told me the sounds were normal but man they are loud. Far as I know I don’t not have anything draining the battery. I took off the charger cables when I brought it in to Ford so they could not automatically say it was my charger, so maybe I’ll hook them back up and recharge it again. This last time it lasted like 3 days but this morning after it sat for two days the pages were gone again. It’s really annoying as it’s just the dash pages and a route if I have one set. If anyone else runs into this let me know. Hopefully they will come out with a recall for the phone charger but until then I’ll just use the cord.
