Anyone tuned a 2025 ST YET?
The ECUs are still locked with no progress on unlocking them reported yet. It’s probably going to be a little while.

The mustang took like 4 months to get it unlocked.

All the major tuners are saying it could be as long as years. The new level of encryption is hardcore. Apparently you won’t even be able to do ecm swaps to older units like you could with the recent F150’s.
I hope they’re wrong and they get cracked soon but don’t hold your breath.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the government is pushing encryption more than the manufactures. Can’t have people working on their cars anymore

Where did you hear that? Last I heard was the only mod you could do was a whipple supercharger because ford gave them a key to unlock the computer, henceforth all the superchargers for the 24+ mustangs are basically rebranded whipples. I've heard recently that ford has given roush a key also so they should have their own superchargers out for the 24's soon.

Tuners are still trying to crack the 23+ F150 ECUs. I think it'll be a while for the 25+ Explorers. :( The 24+ Mustang ECU may get cracked as it will get the most attention due to more people tuning Mustangs than F150s and Explorers.

Exactly what I was going to say, I don’t think an Explorer is their top priority.

My contact at HP Tuners said "sooner rather than later".

Funny because all the actual tuners aren’t so confident. HP or otherwise.

Time will tell, but "actual tuners" have no idea. This guy is in charge of the Ford development at HPT.

"Soon" is the exact same timeline Cobb (not a user like Goosetuned but the engineers at Cobb) has given for the last 2 years for the 23+ F150s. We can see there's a solid market for tuning Explorers and F150s (I'd love to get my 23 Raptor tuned as well) so I'm sure HPTuners and Cobb are busting their asses to get it cracked. But based on how long the F150 is taking, I think the 25+ crowd better be patient.

Yea and one of the guys I’m talking about is development level at SCT and has been for decades. I saw the same rumors about the newer F150’s and look how that’s turned out.

A tiktoker/youtuber that had a 2024 GT said that within a week of him getting rid of his Mustang they had unlocked the ECU.

Sounds like he was talking out his ass. 90% of these ass-clowns on tiktok/youtube have no clue what they are talking about, they just spout garbage for the likes.

When it comes out we will support it, but it's definitely one of those. It's either going to happen tomorrow or never type things. There is no timeline, they'll either get in or they won't.

Probably because Ford Performance want's to corner the tuning market on them. I looked at theirs, but the gains are not much for the ST.......now my Bronco Raptor, I did the tune from them and it's great. Gained about 100 ft lbs of torque and it's very noticeable.

When titling my '25 ST last week the garage that did the odometer verification (it's a thing in Missouri) asked if I wanted them to install an SVT tune...said it would add 100 HP, be factory warranty friendly...I turned him down, suspicious of the assertion that they were in possession of a factory (SVT) tune for a 2025...

After reading g this thread it seems like I made a good decision.

Just Considering SVT has been around since over a decade ago I call BS. There’s no way they have a tune for a 2025 either.
