Recently noticed the headliner at the driver's door showing below the door gasket. Adjusted the gasket down to cover, but it slides back up to its natural position. Dealer thinks the headliner needs to be replaced but doesn't know if it will get resolved until they replace it. Replacing the headliner doesn't seem to be a trivial process.

Has any one seen this issue before ?

It just slipped out from under the rubber. Stick your finger in there and fix it and find a real issue to worry about.

What do you mean stick my finger in there and fix it ? It won't stay under like it is supposed to. I've messed with it, the service tech, and the shop manager at the dealer have all tried.

Smack the weather stripping. Sometimes it’s not seated all the way on the pinch weld.

Super glue/Gorilla Glue? Sucks to have a 60K car and have so much QA issues. But that's what I would do.

It's been removed and reseated, no change. The higher it goes, more headliner appears. Setting it lower hides it, but then it is barely on the pinchweld.

Fully seated weather gasket exposes headliner:

Gasket has to be pulled this far down to cover the headliner:

It seems like the headliner is cut wrong or doesn't conform up to fit under gasket.

Blah blah blah…90% of the time it’s just a misalignment and no…not an issue. Take 30 seconds and fix it yourself and go on with your life. Looks like he might be the 10%

Should have been pulled offline and fixed at Chicago Assembly. Another example of the lack of quality control there.

The dealer has already fixed misaligned body panels and other loose trim pieces. This is the last item and they've ordered a new headliner. Sucks that we didn't notice these items during test drive and/or delivery inspection. Also sucks that this was in Chicago for two plus months on QA hold and they didn't address any of these issues then. The whole QA hold thing was a joke.
