I have the power folding mirrors turned off through the infotainment screen. Still, they fold in when I lock the vehicle through the key fob and of course unfold when I unlock it. Does anyone elses do the same thing?

From Manual:
Switching Auto-fold On and Off
  1. From the settings menu, press Vehicle. See Center Display.
  1. Press Mirrors.
  1. Switch Autofold on or off.

So.. I just called the dealer about this issue. The Service Adviser did some digging into the problem and it turns out that it is in-fact a software issue that Ford is aware of regarding the folding mirrors on the 25's and not being able to turn them off. Apparently it is a software glitch and Ford expects a solution within this 4th quarter. I also swear that at times they haven't folded in when I lock it so it is hit and miss as to if and when they fold in or not. Imagine that, Ford and software issues.. nooooooo way! (sarcasm).

I'm like a broken record by repeating this so many times but the frustration level only grows - GET RID OF SO MUCH SOFTWARE ITEMS IN OUR VEHICLES!! I am soooooo tired of glitchy and overly complicated BS in new vehicles. I like new vehicles for lots of reasons but not for the overly used software. Also, GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN!!:ROFLMAO::LOL:

How do you set the side mirrors? I ask, because every time I get in, I have to adjust my driver’s side. Thank you.

They are part of the seat memory settings.

The back lumbar setting is also part of the seat memory settings. That is something it took me a while to realize.

Just curious as to why that matters. I like when they fold and wish they would every time I close my door instead of me having to lock it or push the button before leaving the vehicle. Is it due to wear on the mirror motors?

Wear and tear and an unnecessary feature, to me, to have them move in and out every single time I lock or unlock my vehicle, on their own, without me deciding when and if they fold or not. If its moving, it's wearing. I like things to happen when I want them to by my prompts and not always automaticly.

If you like yours folding in and out everytime, great. I however do not.

The main issue above all here is that the on/off feature of these is malfunctioning, and that the automaker is aware of it, and that this is on a newly refreshed software packaged vehicle.

25’ ST - I still have the folding mirrors issue where they fold in most of the time while I have the auto folding function turned off in the infotainment screen in settings. Sometimes they don’t fold in and function correctly but most of the time they fold in. I have another similar issue with the liftgate. When I put it in manual instead of powerlift, sometimes it remains manual but most times it reverts back to powerlifting or closing. I have a 4D start stop eliminator on it and that also works intermittently. Something is F’d up in either a hardware component or in the software. I’m at 230 miles on it to date. Anyone else having these intermittent issues?
