Part of me buying an ST was the incredible tunability of these motors. It’s not everyday you see an SUV in the 10s

As I’ve painfully learned, there are no tunes available for the 2025 cars. And even more painfully, possible ever

My question is why has Ford locked down the ECUs so much? The s650 Mustang has the same lockout. Less than 1% of all cars get modified, let alone these cars. Emissions seem like a bs excuse. And often times, tuned cars burn cleaner, thus produce less emissions, when tuned. And that’s before e-fuels

So why would the ECUs be locked-out?

Call 5 Star and see if it's not possible, or if they just haven't developed them yet

It’s not possible and even if it was 5 Star would be the next to last place to recommend. Last would be SSI.

OP…they’re locked they say because of security issues but a big reason is to stop 3rd party tuning effecting emission crap. I’m sure on some level it’s government driven.
