Spoke with dealership this morning.
My car is eating o2 sensors. Multiple new sensors, and they fail each time.
I am considering the buy-back option, but I don't know diddly squat about that process.
Is an attorney required or can I go down this road on my own?
I appreciate any advice and knowledge.

Well, I can help. I've been through a Ford buyback and achieved the buyback. I also Won a seperate Lemon Law case against Ford for another vehicle - The buyback and the Lemon Law case were both with 2012 Ford Focus's so we all know how Ford tried screwing every owner of them and publicly admitted to it all a couple of years ago..

Anyway, to get a buyback started, contact Ford Customer Service and explain the issues and tell them that you want to initiate a Ford buyback. From there, you will get a case # and there will be lots of back and forth between you and a case manager. It will take time to fully materialize into a decision from Ford. This is how it was back in 2012, it may have changed but I'm sure it is similar today.

Here is a link to some info about the process. I've been through the process back in 93 and I can tell you they don't make it easy. Make sure you document EVERYTHING and "get it in writing" if possible!

Could be due to either coolant or oil blowby getting into your exhaust. If the vehicle is running properly I'd be looking at the turbos. It would probably be evident if one of them is leaking into the exhaust by inspecting the turbo side of the downpipe/cat.

My wife and I had to get GM to buy back a new (at the time) 2018 Buick Regal. In our case that went surprisingly smooth. GMs proceedure had us initiate it wit our state's BBB main office. With their guidance we did not need an Attorney. We didn't even have to return the car to the dealer. It was already there for 4 months waiting on parts!
There should be information in the owners manual about the buy out process with Ford, the rules that could entitle you to one, who to contact to get the process started etc. If you run into a dead end inquire at your state's BBB office. Your state's Attorney Generals office could also be a good place for information.

Interesting points @enphor, regarding turbos.
They called me Monday, scratching their heads about o2 sensors. With every replacement a fault occurred. This evening they called and said it's ready to go and detailed. They are going to deliver to me tomorrow and grab this gladiator loaner.
I was able to see the faults as they replaced sensors through the app.
I dont want to initiate a buy back. I just want my ride back. @Caster, @DaHuntah, appreciate the advice, it seems the process is pretty strait forward. Hope I don't have to act.

I luckily got an appointment tomorrow morning to bring it into the dealer.

When I gave the VIN to the service advisor they said "So why do you need to bring it in for?" even after confirming my information. Can't they see the codes or same warnings I get on the FordPass once they search my VIN?

Then the advisor asked "So what do you think the problem is?" So they could know how long to book me in for...

Lol isn't that their job to find out...:rolleyes:

At times on other Ford forums and on other car brand forums, there is a company customer service rep monitoring the forum. This person reaches out to help customers who are having problems with their new car and acts as a intermediator with the dealership. Seems like this person is needed here to help with 2025 ST's.
