I had a '21 with a winter tire setup, traded for a '25 and wanted to use the same winter set. I've discovered that the '25 uses a different TPMS (117 @ 433mhz) instead of the standard on previous years (TPMS 60 or 112 @ 315mhz) Why would Ford change that?

Now I have to replace the sensors or have a stupid warning every time I use my new truck

How did you discover the ‘25 uses 433 MHz TPMS sensors? When I had the dealer cross reference my ‘25 VIN for replacement sensors I was given Motorcraft/Ford P/Ns TPMS-12/9L3Z-1A189-A which are 315 MHz. I share the same frustration as I’m having issues connecting my replacement 315 MHz sensors. 433 MHz would have been helpful to know.

I feel your pain. Went through the same deal. I had the dealer replace the TPMS’s so i wont be distracted by the dashboard light. Furthermore, the Factory OEM ones weren’t available so the dealership installed aftermarket ones. They work great.

Welcome to the forum! Sometimes I think Ford does this crap just to piss people off!

Yea I found out today on my 1st service, 5000 miles, bought a set of 2024 Black ST wheels 3000 miles never tampered with, complete with the 2024 Ford sensors, sold my 2025 wheels complete as I just knew I had to just get the 24s reprogrammed, wrong ,no way Jose, dealer said they have to change the sensors, and I have to replace the TPMS sensors if I want the system to work, disgusted and disappointed I just can't believe they did that. So, I feel you.
