Looking at the dealer order guides for 2020, 2021, and 2022, along with the brochure for 2021, it appears the 12 speaker system was only standard on the 2020 ST. That year it included all the equipment from the Limited 300A that did have the 12 speakers. 2021 and 2022 only include equipment from the XLT 202A which does not include the 12 speakers. So it looks like that change was made a year ago for the 2021 models.

400A vs 401A package... Confusion when building a 2022

HA! You are one of the few who actually care about the job you do and I appreciate that. This kind of thing is the reason why we used a different dealership from one that was local.
Actually, the person we have been dealing with has been pretty jam-up throughout the entire process. Considering, this may have been lost in interpretation during the conversations we had I won't throw him under the bus although, My wife might drive over me with it
. People do make mistakes and I think this slipped past both of us for different reasons. It's not a deal breaker, but there will be a conversation about it when we pick it up.
