Did you ever figure out the problem? I have a 2021 with 39,000 miles on it and that light came on two times in the last month. i ran the professional scanner on it and no codes pop up. Not sure what is going on?

Yes, I did but no codes pop up. I am sure the fault light will come up at some point. I have never had to use 4 wheel drive yet. A friend was messing with the drive mode, so maybe that activated something? Not sure. I'll keep an eye on it.

It depends on the angle you are driving and will kick on. I had this pop up on a trip to mountains in Boone, NC going up/down a hill. Never came back on after

Ya it was strange, it happened to me both times on the freeway, which was flat. I appreciate the input. I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks

Update: It happened again over the weekend (6/1/24), driving on a flat freeway. I pulled over and used my scanner and again no codes popped up while the fault light was lit up. I acknowledged the fault and an orange wrench popped up for about 30 minutes then went away again. I think I will bring it to the dealer soon to diagnose. I am afraid they won't find anything either and I might be wasting my time? Not sure...

I know from my experience and what my service advisor said, the code determines the fix. To the driver, the messages are all the same but one code, which I had, was for the half-shaft speed sensor. Then the second time, they did the FADA delete TSB, based on the code I had. At the moment I'm having my rear differential replaced. No codes just drove like shit. My front end is almost brand new between both CV boots leaking and replaced last year and then the rest of the front axle replaced for the FADA job. Fortunately all of the above plus the transmission rebuild at 24K miles were under powertrain warranty.

That code along with 3 other (hill assist, collision avoidance) popped up last week. We scheduled to take it in next week, however today my wife hydroplaned into a wall (luckily she's okay) does this code have anything to do with increasing the chances of losing stability? Find it weird we have not had an issue with its handling until now.

Certainly possible. Let your dealer know when you get it checked out and also file a report to the NHTSA. One data point doesn't mean a whole lot but if others are reporting similar experiences, then maybe there's something to it.
