Yes it should be under powertrain warranty. Find another dealer!
I've been reading several threads where you and some other members posted about your dealer covering various front axle TSBs, AWD modules, etc. under the powertrain warranty. We are hopefully getting my mom's back from the dealership soon for what we feel falls under TSB 23-2061, and she's outside of the bumper to bumper warranty as well. We are hoping Ford will cover it, but would you or any any of the others be willing to share a copy of your invoice where your dealer covered the repairs under powertrain warranty? I've been looking around and maybe you already posted it somewhere.... I found one invoice where all of the front axle TSB issues were addressed on a 2020 with like 41K and outside of bumper to bumper so that was helpful too. We're just looking to have multiple examples of where Ford is covering these repairs in case the dealership tries to charge us. Thanks in advance!

I finally got it to the dealer and they said the AWD module needs to be replaced as I thought. They said the total including diagnosis is $839.47. It's feeling like they aren't going to cover it under the powertrain warranty. I'm just not sure if I want to fight it right now or get it over with.

Here we go again. So what ya say about me going back to the dealership to fix the AWD module a second time. The service write-up tech. Was not happy the first time with my explorer. Kept finding problems after problems. I didn't tell him to fix all that. He did it on his own. When he called me for vechile pickup. I asked if it was covered. He said he wouldn't have fixed it if it wasn't. Seem to me some stuff he fixed extra. Well, the Explorer was brand new again back in August until today. Pulling into Zaxbys and threw all 6 faults back on again. So what ya say. Should I try a different dealership an see if they fix it. Because Fairway Ford definitely ain't gonna fix it. They won't even call me back about the Reverse blue camera recall. I want my Chevy Impala back

I just had this done under powertrain warranty. I had the codes and grinding noise when turning backing in and out or making a u-turn and the car also drove lurchy with intermittent disconnecting and reconnecting of front axle AWD. It took about a week to complete and was provided a free rental car. I have 49,700 miles and 8 months left on Powertrain Warranty!
