Recently had my ST to the Ford Dealer and they gave me a BMW X5 as a loaner, it had that mirror activity when you backed up. I hated it. I like my mirrors stationary and use my cameras as needed.

It's made for when parking on the sidewalks but it only affects passenger side on the BMW. I love it on my BMW, you can easily make it go back up by sliding the mirror adjuster to the passenger.

Not sure why Ford has it on both mirrors.

Neat for those that like that. I personally am not a fan. Also, They didn’t make an Active trim in 2022. The mirrors look like a 2025 MY so I’m assuming it was a typo.
