I preordered this as well, from reading the directions this retains the factory cold intake tube….so even though the unit is bigger it can still only draw in the same amount of air because of the size of the stock tube. I wonder actually how different the CFM is just placing the the AEM panel filter in the stock box vs the new intake.

Of course my explorer has the pressure sensor on the vent tube. I’m having trouble finding the part. Anyone know a website that is selling them?
Do you think it can be replaced with the tube with out the sensor?

I called a local dealership they said they have it on back order but they couldn’t tell if it has the sensor on it.

I think we are good….

If we have the sensor with quick disconnect (blue) on the intake tube side and permanent (orange) on top we should be good. Reading the directions for the 100th time, I’m assuming we keep the vent tube with the sensor if we have that.

At least this is what I’m understanding from the directions and walking through the steps. If I’m wrong, please let me know.

Sorry, I’ve reread this thread a few times and I’m still a bit unsure. I think I should be good with these connectors, no?

Ahhhh. I've got a 2021, April 2021 build date and I do not have the crankcase vent tube sensor. Seems like maybe this may be a 2020 model year thing. I hope you find the part ASAP!

Mine is orange on the intake side , I could not get it off. I could get the blue one off though on the other side.

Orange is the non-serviceable connector. Fun fact…if you rip the orange part out the blue part will fit right in and it becomes a serviceable connection.

I was thinking about getting some high heat paint and painting the afe tubes red or blue. To dress it up a little bit.

OK, so if you have the ORANGE connections WITHOUT the sensor, you should still be good, as they provide a new crankcase hose. Is that correct?

Orange is the non-serviceable connector. Fun fact…if you rip the orange part out the blue part will fit right in and it becomes a serviceable connection.

I forgot I changed mine out to blue lol with the UPR Separator … that’s why mine is okay.
