I realize that each vehicle can be different, situations are varied, etc. In both my Fords I loved using the Auto. My Acura was terrible at 'auto' and manual always worked better. I was hoping you were going to show me nice trick to keeping it cold on hot days.

Glad they fixed the problem for you though. This has been a warm summer. Good luck with the '21!
I bought my dream car in 1998, a 1998 Acura CL and the auto climate control worked great the entire 8 years that I had it. It had only seen the dealership one time since bought, and that was for replacement of the timing belt at the recommended interval.

That's so funny you mention an older CL because it was my newer TL that the was the PITA with the auto. I had an '03 CL Type S that was perfect for the 6-7 years I had it. Then got an '08 TL Types S and the auto had a mind of its own sometimes.

I agree some will complain either way. I'm just used to having auto do everything for the past 15 years. I also like how on my GM if the AC was on full blast and I got a phone call it would drop the fan speed.

But you are right, you can't please all the people all the time!
My 2020 ST drops the fan speed (especially on MAX) and radio volume for phone calls.

Such a nice feature for sure.
