Took a trip into the city yesterday for an appointment. Roads were brutal, slush on top of polished ice.

Had about 5 close calls, including a bit of 'off road' to avoid a truck that jacknifed in front of us.

We made it through though, no damage.

Did you use slippery mode? For me that helps a lot.

Ur still here!!!! I was wondering if your rig and her unique wrap was still kicking about this forum. Looks similar to mine these days. The weather and roads are SO GROSS.

I did use it on the way home, but by then things had warmed up more and the conditions weren't as bad so it wasn't a fair comparison.

My biggest issue with this vehicle in the winter is how touchy the brakes are. They seem to lock up way too easy on the front when you're in low grip conditions. I wonder if slippery mode compensates for this?

My brakes are fine on slippery conditions. I don't have the street pack so that might make a difference. But The few times I've used slippery mode it made a huge difference so when it gets bad I use it.

I believe Slippery Mode is just 100% equal AWD. I don't think any of drive mods alter the brakes. Tow mode uses engine braking on downhills.

I don't drive it much as it is my wife's DD but the odd time I do the first few stops are usually over agressive. I'm sure if I drove it on a regular basis I'd naturally adjust to it.

Balanced AWD would have been nice early in the day. The back end was wanting to step out on the clover-leaves (clover-leafs?). Normally fun... not as much with heavier traffic and our daughter in the car.

I want to say that when it was in slippery mode on the way home the throttle response seemed sluggish as well. I wasn't paying that much attention to it though, as I was pretty forcused on watching oncoming traffic for signs they were coming into my lane

Slippery mode does reduce the throttle response.
