Thats a bummer. I mean I needed the OBDII adapter for the led lights so just thought I caught a break being able to get multiple things done at once. Well who doesn't like ordering stuff for the vehicle lol...

You can still use the OBDII connector for anything you like, the autostop eliminator connects under the steering column on 20+ explorers.

Yeah it was pretty inexpensive no biggie.
Stop/Start Eliminator is installed and it’s amazing!

So in the Forscan app, the "Start/Stop" is featured in multiple different modules. I have messed around with it and disabled it in at least 3 and it comes back after a couple of days. But @Cruising68 is correct, the Eliminator works like pushing the button

It can be tuned out, at least with the ZFG

Forescan will only disable auto start for one ignition cycle, just as if you turned it off at the switch. The auto start/stop eliminator is the only way to permanently disable it other than a tune.

Sport Mode, Eco, Normal. Sport Mode turn it off by default.

I have it disabled on my 2017 RS and one of the main reasons I will be doing it on the 2022 EX-ST for me is this....

First: It's a total gimmick used to pass EPA standards.

Second: It is not good for the longevity of parts.

Third: Imagine this scenario. Let's say you are driving heavy footed, you're in sport mode and your turbos are spooling, a lot.
Now you come to a red light and you stop, your engine shuts off because of auto start/stop, all your major electronics also shut off except for the basic parts.
Effectively what is happening right now is that you are no longer cooling your turbos, they are sitting there hot and everything else around them is hot as well.
If you do this a lot, you can damage your turbos.
(This is under the assumption that the turbo functions the same way as in the 2017 RS)

All valid points. But that’s probably why it’s disabled in sport mode. If you’re driving crazy, you’re very likely in sport mode. But yeah I’ve gotten use to it where it doesn’t bother me one bit. There’s literally no delay for me when taking my foot off the brake.

Forscan has been able to do that to Ford viehicles for years. You just have to know where to look.
I did it in my Focus RS 4 years ago, hasn't turned it self back on ever.
Actually pressing the ASS button does nothing.

Sometimes there is a drop down option, sometimes it's a hex edit.
Read post #76 and onward.

I bought a generic ELM327 device before, it didn't work either. The one I have has worked on 2 previous Ford cars.
Gonna test it on the Explorer today. Gotta remove FENG and ASS.

Yeah that error code comes up for me as well. But my device is able to read all the modules just fine.
Just removed FENG today without issue.
