I love the B&O system but feel that it lacks bass. Anyone else considering adding some aftermarket subs and amp?

Im with you on the missing bass. Maybe an amped 10” will do the trick.

Omg, me too...where is the bass? I turned the bass up all the way. Disappointed in B&O.

I've been to two places, including Crutchfield. Neither will touch it till more research is done. They mentioned they had added a sub to a raptor and the engine noise was rather noisy through it. :(

Ended up putting an entire aftermarket stereo in. It involved removing the third row as planned. I have 2 jl audio 12 w6’s powered by an arc audio 2000.1
Hertz Millie 6.5 fronts
Morel virtus rears
Jl 400/4 to Millie
Alpine power pack to rears
JL audio fix 86
All hardware hidden

That's a really nice stealthy box. How does it sound?

great, huge difference from stock needless to say. When I was shown the B&O stock speakers I couldn’t believe how poor of quality they were. I understand it’s a stock stereo but they really trimmed quality out of the ford radio.
Everything is fully adjustable and I have 6 preset settings through the processor for tuning based off the type of music I’m listening to. The port fires toward the driver which is interesting. The stereo is extremely loud if you would like but always remaining musical.

I'm on the same boat as you, after hearing the salesman rant and rave about the B&O sound system, I was thoroughly disappointed when I heard it in person. I'd love to have the same setup as you but unfortunately I need the third row.

Nice setup! Did you consider doing anything with the stock 8” sub/location?

I have a JL Audio system that I took out of my last Explorer...HD900/5 Amp, C5-650 Series 6 1/2" Components (Fronts), C5-650x Coaxes (Rear), TW3 Series 10TW3-D4 shallow-mount subwoofer and a PAC-Audio AmpPRO Amplifier Interface. Hard to expect anything out of the B&O System after having this setup. Can't wait to get it into my ST.

Glad I didn't...yet...since I'm doing a buyback. The subwoofer is pretty muddy but I'm going to have it replaced with a dedicated amp and upgrade the front door speakers with a dedicated amp, too. I'm leaving that one to a local pro but will eventually do the rear door speakers myself and just upgrade the drivers.

I'm a decent DIYer but for some reason I'm kinda' worried about taking the doors apart. Easy enough to do?

I'm defintely not a DIYer but love watching install videos. Check out Five Star Car Stereo on YouTube...they do a full install on a 2020 Raptor it's a five part series soup to nuts, just search for Raptor Audison. Some of their info might prove to be useful...hope this helps.
