I love the B&O system but feel that it lacks bass. Anyone else considering adding some aftermarket subs and amp?
Yeah the BO system stands for " Blows Obviously", this is my install.

Curious, did they have any issues in fitting the mids and tweeters without mods to the door panel? My install date is in 2 weeks

Definitely a tweeter mod for me depending on the type you install.

Do you know if all you need to do is plug the nav zen into the factory amp harness then you can runn all your amps off of that? Also I want to install a helix dsp pro mkii does anybody know if that is possible with the nav zen unit? Thank you.

Go from the NAV box into your DSP then out to your amps like normal.

So no spicing into any wires then? Sorry Im new to this.
That's the beauty of the NAV unit,
There is a lot of room in the spare tire wheel compartment!!
I'm sure, can't part with the spare tire, take a lot of road trips with the fam. Will talk to my installer of maybe making a false floor above the tire, not sure.

Don't apologize, that's the whole point of these forums, to educate one another. So, the Nav unit plugs into the factory radio, from the Nav Unit you can run Toslink to your DSP and then run the amps from the DSP. Check out Five Star Car Stereo on YouTube, amazing installs and very informative.

Also, cardinal rule is to make sure you update the firmware on ALL of your new hardware prior to the installation. Your installer should know to do that

I'm about to start building my system. Do you know if the JL 10W3 will fit in the factory location for the sub? I'm sure I will need a different box but was curious if the area has enough space.

With some fiberglass work anything is possible.

That Sub only needs a minimum volume of .5 cu ft of internal airspace. Here is a pic of the mounting specs.

Thank you. I have these in a truck of mine now but I'm not sure if this will fit where the stock sub is located in the Explorer 2020 location. Thoughts?

Lemme try it another way. Yes one will fit but you will have to do some fabrication. Fiberglass is the easiest way to use all available space.

Perfect. Got it. I was just worried the original sub might be smaller and would not fit.
