Anyone tried the 22" wheel from the 13-14 edge sport on their ST

The older first generation edge used the larger 5x4.5" or 113.4mm lug pattern just like our current explorer does. Anyway I really like the look of these wheels, and from what Info I found they have a 63.4 mm hub bore and are 22x9 with a 39mm offset

The standard 20's that come on the ST also have a 63.4mm hub bore and are 20x8.5 with a 44mm offset

The only issue that I can think of is the lug holes might need to be opened up a little as the first gen edge used 1/2" wheel studs, and the 20+ explorers use a larger 14mm wheel stud.

Where did you read that? There are a lot of aftermarket wheel sites that incorrectly specify 63.4 when it is not. You can peruse the winter wheel threads for some info because that is where most of us have looked into it. I ordered from Tirerack and the hubcentric rings are 72-70.5.

Like I said, I wouldn't trust those specs. Previous generation Explorer rims do not fit. People wanted PIU rims from the previous generation but they do not fit. You have to get the PIU rims for 2020+

It does not.

Listen to @Cdubya . Hub bore is 70.5 for all wheel sizes and engine sizes. Previous gen explorer and edge stuff will NOT fit.

FYI you can have the bores machined. A few years back I had this done and the worked fine. I think I paid about $20.00 per wheel.

I thought about that, I just need to get ahold of one so I can test fit it. If they work out I want to mount them up with a 25mm spacer and if it can be done, I would also like to have them widened by 1" so I can run a 285/40/22.

You're a bit obsessed with those wheels, aren't you? By the time you have the bores resized, the lugs rebored, and the barrels modified you'll have the most expensive Edge wheels ever! Please let us know how it works out.

Well I found a set on ebay that was already powder coated gloss black. Cost me $1800 for the set. Found a local machine shop that opened up the hub bores for me for $250. I have a set of bora wheel spacers waiting to go on, so I used them to check the lug bores and they are fine. Now I just need to buy tires.

Have you priced a set of 22" wheels lately? $450 a wheel is not bad considering they were already powdercoated for that price. I like the vossen HF-2, but they are 950 a wheel in a 22x10.5 size. Besides I'm the type that likes the factory look and I like these a lot better than the 21's that come on the ST's

Yeah my plan all along was to get them powdercoated all black when I finally got a set, then I got lucky and found a set on ebay already done. I never liked the original finish, just the overall design of the wheel.

I had almost given up on getting a set, considering Detroit Wheel and tire wants $2700 for a set and that is unmodified. Factor in $250 to get the hub bores opened up and who knows how much to get them widened, I would be quickly approaching 4K for a set of heavy factory wheels. I could get a new set of vossen HF-2's in a 22x10.5 for $3800 and they would be structurally stronger than widened cast factory wheels. Once I found the set on ebay, and after searching the Cleveland area, there was only one shop who could open the hub bore and no-one locally could widen them, I gave up on the idea of getting them widened. Also the size tire I've chosen to run can be mounted on a 22x9 wheel, they are at the minimum of the recommended wheel width. Not ideal, but I'm not tracking my ST, it's a daily driver so a 9" wide wheel will be fine.
