B Post Keypad Key Proximity Override

TIL...
If you lock the car with the B post keypad (hit 7/8, 9/0 at the same time), it overrides the car feature that prevents the car from locking while the keys are in it.

Picture, if you will, a 6'4" 285lb guy climbing into his car through the sunroof, which I just happen to have forgotten to close.

Why didn’t you use the code on the keypad to unlock the doors? Never initiated a personal code?

Reset the code to a number you won't forget. I haven't touched my keys in the past several months.
