I'm new here so I'm sorry if this is not the place for this! I'm looking to upgrade my intercooler and change the intake to the FenFab CAI and charge tube but I'm being told this will void my warranty! I didn't think it did so I called the dealer and they said just adding a K&N filter can void the warranty! They wouldn't say it WOULD void the warranty but that it CAN void the warranty. So now I'm leery about changing anything. They did say that anything I buy from Ford Performance is fine though and tried to talk me into buying their tune. Can anyone tell me what the real story is with this please?

Anything to add “can” cause denial of warranty services for that particular system. That’s how it works with any car manufacturer.

Damn! The thing has 31K and was just outside the warranty so I opted for the extended warranty! I wonder if I can go back and cancel it. If not, screw it! I'm gonna do it anyway and hope nothing in the drivetrain breaks. I wish I'd know this before I opted for the warranty.
