CBS News reported today that the Ford Motor Company will offer employee pricing to all US shoppers. This could be huge for those who joined our group without first owning an ST like I did last October 2024. CBS further explained "Ford announced that it would allow car shoppers to buy its 2024-25 vehicles, including gas, electric and hybrid-powered models, at the discounted price the automaker currently offers to its employees".

My ST purchase in January 2025 was via the "X-Plan" for select groups such as any of the Ford Car Clubs. I had been a long term member of the Mustangs Club of America since 2010 when I bought my first Mustang GT Premium Convertible. The X-Plan for me was basically $150.00 OVER the official Ford invoice on my ST. There was NO hard sale or waggling on this pre-set price. The Employee Discounts ranged from roughly $1,700 to a high of $2,100 BELOW invoice on my specific vehicle. That equates to a discount of over $4200 BELOW MSRP before ANY dealer discounts are applied.

If you are looking to get your first ST OR seeking to upgrade, NOW may be your golden opportunity to get into a 2024-2025 new model.

Most people are able to get their new STs far below A-Plan pricing. A-Plan always seems to be what tax is, so not that much. To me this isn’t a huge deal for people who have dealers willing to negotiate, but a big deal for normal people.

"2020FordRaptor": All this pricing stuff is fickle and hard to believe. I did my search via Ford.com on-line in late Dec 2024/early Jan 2025 and many of the dealers in CA and Southern Oregon were at MSRP and some were actually asking $5,000 ABOVE MSRP. I 100% agree with your appraisal "this isn’t a huge deal for people who have dealers willing to negotiate, but a big deal for normal people".
