Today while sitting at a red light someone bumped me from behind and broke the passenger side reflector lens on the back bumper. I check with places like tasca and a new lens is only 25 bucks so I'm not even going to turn it in to insurance. My question, is there a better lens or something else that I can get for the rear reflectors? I found a tint kit for 10 bucks at lethal, is that all that is available?

There's quite a few OEM-looking reflectors on Amazon, if you don't want to pay the high shipping costs for genuine OEM. I personally just sprayed lens tint spray on mine to make them a little darker but maintaining the reflector functionality. Some used tinted vinyl. You can also replace with the LED reflector set but need to splice into your brake lights if I'm not mistaken.

I found the led reflectors on amazon, not a fan, I think I'll just stay stock and tint them.

I noticed also the X on the explorer letter inserts is broken and I have to replace it, I have the UPR set but the red doesn't match the red on my ST. I remember someone posted a while ago that there is another brand out there that matches the ford colors and is thicker like the UPR, anyone know who made them?

Not sure where you are at
But here if person hits you by thier own fault
That has zero effect on your ins
Your deductible and all covered expenses are on that person.

Never deal with other guys insurance
File claim, get car fixed, let your insurance send them a bill
Yes it can take a few days to m9ve the ball.
If time is of the essence..fix it yourself

I am an assshole.
Someone hits me, I expect my insurance to make me whole,.. no matter what..that's why we pay the policy ..then they go after the person responsible
It's no fault and will not ding your rates at renewal
But each state is different

But on ebay, tasca, and a few other ford dealers have good price for the reflector
Plus oemparts.com

That part! I live in a state that raised insurance premiums over 40% this year, whether you had any claims or not!

I'm in Ohio and yes its entirely their fault, but they left the scene. I filed a police report and they are checking traffic cams and see if they can track down the other car. I'm not too optimistic they will find her, so I'm planning on fixing this on my own. If they find her, then yes I will turn it in to her insurance.

Just today I had an assssshat state official
Pull up beside me waving his digit at me
Camera got his tag

S O 69. Is his tag.. State official. Monday I am raising the issue with police. At least he will get a phone call.
I was 35 in a 35
I am sure is one of state representatives

He felt he needed to go much faster.
I wish school had been in session
