Hello, I have non street package car and I purchased a set of takeoff street package calipers/brackets. I also have a set of powerstop z36 rotors and pads I'm installing. I just wanted the red brakes and less dust is why I'm swapping. I'm aware I need to put the car into brake maintenance mode. A little nervous as some people say they can't get it out of maintenance mode. Is this something forscan can't turn off if for some reason I'm not able to the normal way? Also, are there any other tips/pointers? First time doing brakes on a vehicle with electric parking brake. I assume I would bleed the brakes while still in maintenance mode. Thank you!

Put it into service mode, do all of your work then kick it out. If it gets hung like some have you can easily force it out with Forscan so don’t panic.

Great. So I will also bleed the brakes while in service mode? The service manual I found got me a little confused.

Also, I'm doing some thinking. If the person I got these from didn't put their car into maintenance mode before removing, could that give me trouble?

Possible but only if he ripped them off with the brake on and damaged something. If the brake is off and he just removed the bolts and pulled the caliper out, it’s hard to break something.
