Anyone had issues with the camera recall recently? My 2020 has been at my dealer now for over 4 weeks. It was taken in for other things but they performed the camera recall while there (that I had avoided doing.) They were able to replace the camera but the image processing module that needs to be updated with it, failed. After messing with it, they said they needed to order a new one. It was ordered sometime around 12/6 and they still don't have it in. My dealer has been great and has put my wife in a rental the whole time (2024 bronco badlands right now) but they seem to have no update. Are these things on backorder? If so, what happens now? They started a "safety recall" that they can't finish. I don't think they can give my vehicle back to me like that.

I just had the camera recall done on our 2022. It wasn't just an update for me, they replaced hardware also. With the holiday season here, shipping is going to be a pain, probably where the delay is. I'd ask your dealer what they plan to do.

If they gave you a loaner gratis
I would wait..let the parts arrive
Enjoy free miles
Thats a pricey loaner, they will want the inventory back, so they will be on top of orders

I previously was getting the blue screen pretty often. I did the image module firmware update 1/2024 and bluescreen was gone. I did not do the hardware recall because why mess with something that works. I was also afraid a new camera would mess up my 360 camera alignment which right now is perfect.

A while back I had the camera replaced after the software update. So far no more issues.
