Catalytic Converter done at 88k

Not sure if anybody else has ran into this but my last two tanks of gas my ST has had a rotten egg smell to it and it feels like it’s down on power. I know the Ford exhaust are crap on these. I already have a thermal cat back and I just purchased the CVF down pipes. I am just wondering if anybody else has had these issues with their catalytic converters.

I’m not sure if it’s the winter gas or something else.

I wouldn't judge based on smell. If the cats were bad, there'd be a cat insufficiency code. The problem with some of the cheaper downpipes is people are getting codes, even with defoulers!

My left side cat has been replaced twice. First time was early on with exhaust smell inside the vehicle. The second time it went bad there was a weird exhaust sound at around 60K miles.

If I’m a betting man, I think it’s my left side one that went bad. I was picking up my daughter from basketball practice and I had my window down while idling and that’s when I started to smell of the rotten egg smell

I guess I assumed you meant the catalyst was spent. Certainly the downpipe could be cracked leaking exhaust fumes. Even the revised oe downpipe has had failures.
