Has anyone out there done this mono-color mod to a Rapid Red one yet? cu-21.jpg

The price is actually not too crazy for all the work that was done. Not bad.

Agreed! It could be the pictures but the color looks lighter and brighter than Atlas to me, almost a candy blue color. Also looks slightly dropped on 21" or 22" Vossen wheels with black badges and exhaust.

Haven't seen one yet. White, Atlas, Silver Spruce... yes. Rapid Red... No. Here is a quick rough photoshop to show what one might look like. Colors are off but close...

Man does that ever look beautiful. Do you have any other pic you would like to share? I have this same colour & love what you have done especially on the door skirts, great idea

I'm curious how they do this with the painted wheel arches and lower parts of bumpers. I called 5 wrap places, nobody will touch it saying it won't bond properly. I called 3 body shops and they said sanding the plastic would never work well. I called 2 Ford dealerships and they said there are no replacement parts for the ST that are paintable. Sooo...anybody?

I paid 2400.00 cnd (about 2000.00 US) to have the Ford body shop paint it. I couldn’t find wrap to match the paint.

Thanks for the reply. Did they sand the plastic and paint it or did they order new bumper pieces primed for paint?

Sanded it smooth. I think it was a lot of work. They removed all the pieces sanded them primed and painted. If I had to guess I suspect it was a solid 25hrs work. I think a few of the other guys have painted theirs also.

Ok thanks again. I talked to the body shop at the Ford dealership I got mine from and they wanted absolutely nothing to do with this saying it would never come out right. Sounds like I just need to start calling around different body shops.
