Just went back to the shop last week for a few secondary measurements . I will reach out to them if they have any status on the time frame .

Okay cool. What will be the max drop? Wondering if we will need a camber kit

I know the last time they made a custom set for an older man with a Audi Q7 , the lowest setting had the Audi tucking tires so they had to raise it up and it is now sitting right above the tire .

I’d just like it to sit right below the fenders. No wheel gap.

That is exactly what I'm shooting for . I don't want it slammed to the ground and that is not what these guys are making them for either . The shop has created a lot of high horsepower builds and they are not about the lower the better .

Yeah, I've been waiting for some news as well. Really just want to address the suspension once... but coil overs would be ideal to get that look I'm shooting for.

Hey Everyone, just wanted to let you know since I saw this thread that FV (Fitted Visions) is making coilovers for the Explorer ST now.

They are not being mass produced as of now, but if there is enough interest in them then they will. Here is a link to their 2019 coils, and I was told if you want them now for the ST order these and in the order comment put Year, Make, Model, & VIN.

*I have no affiliations with them, nor have I ever used FV coils. But wanted to just let people know that there was an option.

that seems like a bad way to gamble $1200 with no mention of 20 up ones on their website. Whos gonna drop that kinda money for something they dont mass produce and might not? Plus then they can send you the 19 style and say well we sent him what he ordered.... seems sketch

Yeah I would definitely contact through email (in some sort of writing form) first before ordering so you know you have some what of a leg to stand on for a refund/return if they don't come in or don't fit... This is what originally made me contact them.

I know you say you are not affiliated with them and I am not directing at you but why would they start designing coilovers for the ST but not "mass produce" them to make money off the public ? I also wonder why they would need the VIN ?

Good to see other possible options out there !

Already thought of that but there is no way of cutting a section off these springs and they still sit right .

Has anyone tried these yet? I just put my steedas on and the ride is a bit rougher than i expected..
I'd be willing to spend the money if a setup like this can get my a small drop and really good ride quality for a daily driver. No track ect.

Coils are going to be a way rougher ride then springs and struts, if that is what your aiming for.

Oh wow, hard to believe Steeda springs or even H&R's for that matter, could cause an ST to ride noticeably rougher, to the point you seek a different solution. This is the first time I have heard that in over a year, from anyone. I do hope you find a solution that works for you however, don't expect a performance oriented vehicle to ride soft and floaty like a Cadillac. I have H&R's as well as a Steeda rear sway bar (on the stiffest setting) and strut tower brace and my ST drives great and feel well planted, but also rolls through corners like butter with minimal to no body roll!

The handling is great..I was just a little surprised you didn't have a little bit of forgiveness on the small bumps and cracks in the road. You can literally feel rough pavement which might be a result of the strut/shock not being in the correct part of the travel due to lowering slightly. I'm no expert but I know with a properly tuned and adjustable suspension can provide both a good ride and great handling. I was hoping the springs would give a slight improvement in performance and look but still maintain the nice ride quality the ST has in stock form. Right now. I'd be leaning towards staying stock with the updated SWAY bar as the best to maintain both handling and comfort, but you still have the wheel gap to consider.

I've never had coilovers so I honestly wasn't sure how the ride would be affected. So thank you for the feedback. I'm not looking for a cadillac, but a ride consistent with stock would be nice.
