Hey All, apologies in advance If this is posted somewhere, I looked and couldn’t find it probably use error on my part…. interested in getting people‘s opinions on cold air intake…just picked up my 25 ST last month and want to put a cold air intake on it not sure people’s opinions K&N AFE etc. which one you folks going with thanks in advance

CAI do nothing for power, especially since you can’t tune the 2025s. A CAI would just be for looks. Sound wise the only that does that is the Fenfab intake, it adds a lot of fun turbo noises.

Just to add, when there is a tune available for the 2025 check with the tuner whether or not there are gains to be had with the intake. With my setup, ZFG told me that only in "race" mode which is now my "sport mode" in the drive selector would benefit from a CAI.

Intakes won’t do anything unless you’re pushing the car to its limits.

I only push things to "the extreme" personally. ;)
Well then the 25s probably aren’t the best choice because they’re not going to be tunable for a long time, if ever.

Fortunately i have a 24', I think you are thinking the OP. :)

On another note, really think the 25 has a chance at being un-crackable?

Yep my mistake. I do think it’s going to be a very long time at the very least, but has a high possibility of not being cracked ever.

As I understand it the Mustang and F150 stuff that can’t be cracked yet…the 25 ST is a generation newer than even those.

Wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to make sure the warranties expire before letting people tune these after all the diff bolt failures they had to replace. Saving pennies ended up costing them a lot dollars.

Could be. I think it’s also that they might want to corner the aftermarket game themselves. If Ford Performance comes out with a tune, 2025+ owners will only have one choice.

At this point, I would have no problem with the Ford Perf tune for my 25! Fingers crossed....
