Longtime member / second time poster! Hi!

I have a 2020 ST, about 92k on it. I normally do the basic maintenance myself, like oil, brakes, rotors, differential fluid, etc. But seeing she's getting up there (and it's fricken freezing out) I took her to Ford for a little extra (expensive) love with the 100k maintenance. Also, because I occasionally get the smell of gasoline in the cabin and if I've driven in wet conditions, I can hear sizzling coming from under the driver side when I park in the garage.

So, this morning, Mr. Ford Tech calls me to give me the details of their findings. There's an oil pan defect and a bad differential o-ring that'll be covered under warranty. But remember that recall or TSB a few years ago for cracked catalytic converters? I had both of mine repaired under that, separately. Welp, it happened again! Mr. Ford Tech acknowledges it's a known problem, but it's not covered under recall, TSB, OR my extended Ford ESP warranty.

W! T! F!

Anyone else dealing with a cracked cat multiple times? Anyone else dealing with recall/warranty stuff on this?

Have a fantastic Friday everyone!

What Ford ESP do you have? It should be covered. I do know it is extremely common and has reoccurred to quite a few people.

I have the premium plan. I'm well with in my mileage and years. The Tech said Ford denied that but covered the other stuff because they seemingly don't care much about emissions. So he took off $100 and suggested I replace it with anything but Ford OEM on my own because that's what he did.

Time for some catted downpipes and exhaust! Seems the stock exhaust between cracked cats and the flexjoint failing is a real POS.
