Welp was going to keep it under wraps until the pre order was ready on my website but since it’s out there I tested the CV Fab intercooler and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Overall this product is a huge win at $879.99!
Just a few notes about the CV Fab Pre Order. There will be a limited QTY available in August with a full batch coming in October. I'm excited to announce that everyone that purchases through ZFG Racing will have first dibbs priority on the limited QTY available in August! Click here https://bit.ly/3PGrTL3 to order now or check out Stage 1 package https://bit.ly/3OIObdX that also includes the CV Fab Intercooler.
Here is some background on the 3 different temperature sensors in the induction system.
IAT (intake air temperature) is pre turbo
CT (Charge air temperature) is post intercooler mounted in the intercooler. That is the TMAP for throttle inlet pressure
MCT (manifold charge temperature) is in the intake manifold, this is the most important because it is what the computer uses to decide to pull power. It is also a TMAP.
Stock ¼ mile
As you can see there was over and 85 degree swing in temperature and you can see the tune doing it’s job and lowering the power level to stabilize the temperatures. That is by design, if left at the peak boost level we would have 210-220 degree charge temps.
CV Fab 0-60
Almost no gain in charge temp (ct) and a reduction in MCT
CV Fab intercooler ¼ mile
CT started at 87* finished at 102 and MCT started at 112 and finished at 102
